Safety Architecture

Nolan's choice of Lexan™ polycarbonate is deliberate: the material flexes under impact in a controlled way, absorbing kinetic energy before it can reach the rider. Splitting the production run into two shell sizes rather than one universal shell means the geometry is always proportionate to the wearer's head, reducing rotational stress in an impact. The six-density EPS liner system extends that principle inward, graduating foam stiffness so each size band has correctly matched protection. The Microlock® double-lever buckle eliminates the fumbling associated with traditional D-ring closures and keeps the helmet securely in place under load.

AirBooster Ventilation

Nolan's AirBooster technology uses wind-tunnel-optimised channelling to pull cool air through forehead and chin intakes and exhaust warm air from the rear outlet. The result is a constant, even airflow that prevents heat build-up on long summer rides or during spirited road work. The integrated rear spoiler contributes to aerodynamic stability at higher speeds, reducing buffeting and rider fatigue.

Visor System

The ultra-wide panoramic visor extends the peripheral field of view significantly compared with a standard visor, giving earlier warning of hazards at junctions and on fast bends. It is scratch-resistant and UV-treated as standard. The included Pinlock® insert creates a hermetic seal at its perimeter, preventing the condensation that causes fogging in cold or rainy weather. When the sun demands it, the integrated VPS dark-tinted sun visor — rated UV 400 — deploys and retracts via a smooth internal slider without any need to pull over. The visor releases from the helmet for cleaning or replacement using a tool-free quick-change mechanism.

Interior Comfort

The Clima Comfort interior lining is fully removable and machine washable, made from Italian recycled fabric that is both hypoallergenic and highly breathable. A dual-layer mesh structure ensures airflow reaches the scalp rather than being trapped by dense foam. The 3D-shaped cheekpads conform closely to the face for a secure, noise-reducing seal. The EA (Eyewear Adaptive) system — recessed channels in the cheekpad foam — lets spectacle or sunglass arms pass cleanly without pressure points or seal gaps, a thoughtful inclusion for everyday riding. The adjustable neck roll can be repositioned to suit different jacket collar heights.
