About the Freedom matt black and chameleon graphic

Colour-shift pigments work by interference rather than by absorption: microscopically thin layers reflect different wavelengths at different viewing angles, which is why the colour appears to travel across the shell as you walk past it. It is a genuinely different optical effect from a metallic flake, and it is expensive to apply well, which is why it appears rarely at this price. The matt black ground is the right decision — a gloss base would add its own reflections and fight the effect, while a flat one lets the pigment be the only thing moving. 🔵 Two things to know. The effect is largely lost in flat overcast light, which is when a helmet most needs to be seen, so treat this as a visual choice rather than a conspicuity one. And like every printed or pigmented graphic it cannot be touched in after a deep scratch, so a serious mark is permanent. It is worth saying that this is the one finish here we would not recommend on safety grounds — a matt black shell with an effect that only appears in direct light is, in poor conditions, simply a matt black helmet. Choose it because you want it, and be aware that the Alizer matt white and silver at the same 237 € does considerably more work at a junction.

Two visors in the box, a third inside the shell

🔵 Both screens are inside the ECE 22.06 approval rather than accessories added afterwards, because the current standard tests a helmet with everything fitted that will be sold on it.

🟢 That includes the sun visor mechanism — the one Certimoov would like improved.
