The left-hand switch on a Brutale 800 carries the indicators, horn, beam and the display navigation. The JP PS MV002 replaces it with a body machined from Ergal 7075.

The Busier Hand
MV puts the indicators, the horn, the high beam and the navigation of the instrument panel on the left cluster, along with the mode confirmation. It is a dense arrangement of small controls on a housing that was never enlarged to accommodate them.
Modes Worth Selecting
The Brutale's engine maps differ meaningfully rather than nominally, and riders use them. That means the buttons behind them accumulate operations across a season instead of being set once at the dealer and forgotten about entirely.
Where a Moulding Goes Soft
The standard assembly is two injection mouldings clipped around the handlebar. Over several seasons the halves develop play, and the buttons that straddle the joint between them lose their definition first, gradually enough that the rider compensates without noticing.
Rain Arrives Directly
A naked motorcycle offers its switchgear nothing. Water reaches the controls at road speed and stays, and the seam running through the middle of a clipped assembly is exactly where it eventually gets in and starts causing intermittent faults.
A Cockpit on Display
On a bike with no bodywork the handlebar area is the largest thing in the rider's view and a substantial part of how the machine reads from outside. A component cut from solid changes that impression well out of proportion to its size.
Three Anodised Finishes
Black, red and titanium. Red appears on MV's own liveries often enough that it continues something already present, and all three are surface conversions rather than coatings, so a scrape dulls the finish instead of exposing bright aluminium.
One Piece of Ergal
Milled from a single billet with sealed switch elements inside. There is no clipped joint to develop play under a triple's vibration and no moulded seam anywhere for water to find over a decade of ordinary use.
