The Crate Under the Bench
Every RC was delivered with a race kit: exhaust, ECU, bodywork and stands. A great many of those crates are still unopened, and the bikes whose owners did open them are the ones where cockpit components get considered.

Pit Lane With a Clock Running
The left cluster on a track-prepared RC is used between sessions to change maps and traction levels, in gloves, with an engine idling and a marshal waiting. Certainty matters more than feel under those conditions.
Where Reparto Corse Stopped
MV's racing department specified the exhaust, the graphics, the wheels and the suspension. The handlebar switchgear it left alone, which is why on a motorcycle finished to this standard the cluster is the obvious remaining candidate.
Original Connector
The unit plugs into MV's own loom and the standard assembly refits at any point. On a numbered homologation special, being able to return the bike to exactly the condition it was delivered in is not optional.
Three Anodised Finishes
Black, red and titanium. RC graphics already carry a considerable amount of red, so most owners take black on the reasoning that the cockpit should not join the conversation the bodywork is already having.
Sealed Against a Jet Washer
Sealed contacts inside a one-piece milled body. Bikes cleaned while still warm after a session meet water under pressure at exactly the temperature that draws it into a moulded joint.
