Committed to Being Solo
MV removed the pillion seat and its footrests entirely rather than making them optional, which shortens the tail dramatically and rules out carrying anyone. Very few manufacturers are willing to make a decision that final.
Spoked Wheels, Wide Rear
A 200-section rear tyre on an aluminium-rimmed spoked wheel gives the Dragster its stance and costs it some of the Brutale's agility. It is a trade MV made deliberately and one that the bike's buyers evidently endorsed.
The Original Generation
This fitment covers 2014 to 2017, before the RC and SCS versions arrived with a different electrical layout. The later bikes look closely related and take different parts, so the registration year decides rather than the appearance.
Everything Visible
Trellis frame, single-sided swingarm, exposed rims and no bodywork of any kind. The handlebar area is one of the few places on this motorcycle where an ordinary industrial component appears, and it is directly in the rider's eyeline.
Weather at Road Speed
Nothing on the Dragster deflects anything away from the controls. Sealed elements inside a body with no moulded joint are the practical answer, and the standard clipped assembly offers neither property.
Three Finishes
Black, red and titanium. Dragsters are frequently ordered in assertive limited-edition colours, and against those black is generally the option that lets the cockpit stay quiet rather than competing.
Cut From One Block
Ergal 7075 machined from solid. The joint in a two-piece housing is where the buttons lose definition and where water finds a route, and a single-piece body removes both problems at once.
