DescriptionThe whole story▼
Lap times are made and lost in the last hundred metres before a corner, and that is where this article number belongs. Accossato lists the AGPA112 front pad in an EV2 racing compound for the Benelli BN600 GT of 2014 and 2015, for owners who have turned the touring four into a circuit machine and now ride it against a clock. Nothing about this material is aimed at the journey to work.
Key Features
- Front pads for the Benelli BN600 GT in the EV2 racing compound, article number AGPA112EV2
- Listed for the model years 2014 and 2015
- Described by Accossato as a top racing compound
- For competition and timed sessions, not for daily riding
- A box contains two pads, the amount one caliper takes
- OR, ST, EV1 and ZXC sit on the same plate as milder options
- AGPA42 is the rear pad for this bike, DKS032 the disc
- No German ABE on file; competition and closed circuits only
Construction and Material Quality
In Accossato's own words this is a top racing compound, and the sentence stops there. It is the material the firm points to when the question is not comfort but repeated hard use at temperature, and we would rather quote that plainly than invent qualities for it. The carrier plate, the outline and the packaging are unchanged from the road versions, which means the pad fits exactly as they do; everything that separates this article number from them lives in the friction layer.
Chasing a Lap Time
A rider working on a time does the same thing over and over and changes one variable at a time. Brake a fraction later into the fast right, hold the same line, see what the transponder says. That process only works if the equipment answers identically each lap, because a front brake that gives ground as the session goes on makes it impossible to tell whether the lap was quicker for a good reason or a bad one. Consistency under repetition is what a racing material is for.
The BN600 GT is not a light machine, and converting one for the circuit means accepting that it puts more work into its front brake than a purpose-built bike would. Fluid should be replaced before a meeting, the discs checked for run-out while the wheel is off, and the pads looked at between sessions, since a set used this hard can be finished in a weekend. A new pair wants bedding in properly on the first outing before anybody chases a time with it.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's list ties this pad to the front wheel of the BN 600 GT of 2014 and 2015 and to nothing else, and we quote those two seasons as they are given. Since one box serves one caliper, a complete front change on this tourer means checking the caliper count first and ordering accordingly, with both sides always done together. The rear wheel takes the AGPA42 pad in the same catalogue, the DKS032 is the disc offered for this Benelli, and four calmer materials share the front plate.
Road Approval
We hold no ABE and no test certificate for the AGPA112EV2, and the compound is described by its maker as a racing material. It is sold accordingly, for competition and closed courses.
