DescriptionThe whole story▼
Club events for modern classics give owners of a Triumph Speed Twin 900 a chance to compete, and a bike prepared for that kind of racing needs brakes to match. Accossato offers the AGPA112 front pad for the Speed Twin 900 of 2019 to 2024 in its EV2 racing compound. It is intended for competition and timed sessions only, where the single front disc will be worked hard lap after lap and the rider needs strong, repeatable stopping power at every marker.
Key Features
- EV2 racing compound, Accossato AGPA112EV2
- Front of the Triumph Speed Twin 900, 2019 to 2024
- For competition and timed sessions
- Accossato calls it a top racing compound
- Two pads per box, one box for the single front disc
- Also produced in OR, ST, EV1 and ZXC
Construction and Material Quality
EV2 is one of Accossato's racing materials, described by the company as a top racing compound. It is designed for the temperatures and loads of competition rather than for everyday comfort. The company's general aims, low wear, controlled heat with reduced fade, and strong braking, apply. Like other racing pads, it needs heat to reach full effect, so the opening laps of each session should bring it up to temperature progressively.
One Disc, Many Laps
A single front disc on a race bike carries all the braking load of the front wheel, and heat management matters. Riders should use the first lap to warm the pads, then brake hard and release cleanly rather than dragging the brake into corners for long periods. On the Speed Twin 900, this helps keep the lever consistent through a race. Between sessions, check the fluid, look at the disc for discolouration and the pads for even wear, and record the rider's comments on lever feel.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato ties the AGPA112 to the front of the Triumph Speed Twin 900 in the years 2019 to 2024. There is one front caliper, so one box renews it. The rear pad catalogued for the bike is the AGPA76, from 2016 to 2025. The AGPA112 also exists in Organic, Sintered, EV1 and ZXC.
Road Approval
There is no ABE for this racing pad, and we have no document confirming road use. It is sold for racing and circuit riding.
Scope of Delivery
Two AGPA112 pads in EV2 racing compound, the full set for the single front caliper.
