How to measure your helmet size correctly: To find the right helmet size, measure your head circumference with a flexible tape measure.
It is important that the tape measure runs around the widest part of the head – only then will you get a correct result.
Place the tape measure at the front, about 1–2 cm above the eyebrows, and run it along the sides above the ears.
At the back, the tape must run over the largest part of the back of the head (not too low on the neck). The tape may run slightly at an angle – what matters is that it sits all the way around the largest points of the head.
Make sure the tape measure sits snugly but does not dig in. Measure 2–3 times for the most accurate result. You can then compare the measured value in centimetres (cm) with our size chart.
Tips for an accurate result
- Keep hair flat (e.g. do not measure over a voluminous hairstyle)
- Keep the tape horizontal, i.e. along the largest circumference
- Do not measure too loosely
- For values between two sizes:
→ usually choose the larger size (depending on helmet model / fit)
Important note on fit
The right helmet should fit firmly without causing uncomfortable pressure points.
A new helmet may feel a little tighter at first, as the inner lining adapts slightly over time.

Constructed from a woven carbon and aramid fibre shell, the Shark Aeron Fawn DVY is the kind of helmet that earns its credibility through materials before it earns it through looks. The result of Shark's 2024–2025 collection, it pairs race-bred structural integrity with a striking palette of black, yellow, rose and purple — a helmet serious enough for the track and distinctive enough to stand apart in any paddock.
Key Features
- Carbon and aramid fibre shell construction — exceptional rigidity and impact resistance at minimal mass, reducing neck fatigue on long stints
- ECE 22.06 certified — meets the most current and stringent European safety standard
- Two shell sizes and four EPS liner sizes — precise aerodynamic fit across the full size range from XS to XXL
- Anti-fog, scratch-resistant visor with a wide field of view, tear-off compatible for race use, and a secure visor-locking system to prevent unintended opening at speed
- Morpho-Pads 3D interior lining that conforms to individual head shapes, removable antimicrobial cheek and ear pads for easy cleaning
- Emergency quick-release system and double-D ring fastening — racing-standard retention and first-responder compatibility
- Spectacle-friendly interior design — welcoming for riders who wear glasses on and off the bike
Shell and Safety
The Aeron's outer shell is formed from a composite weave of carbon fibre and aramid fibres — a combination chosen specifically to balance stiffness, tensile strength and weight. Where lesser helmets rely on heavier multi-density polystyrene alone to absorb energy, Shark reinforces the equation at the shell level. The four-density EPS liner works in concert with the composite outer to distribute impact loads across the structure, and the whole assembly carries ECE 22.06 homologation, the most demanding European approval currently in force.
The rear spoiler is not merely aesthetic. At higher speeds it stabilises the helmet against lift and yaw, keeping the aerodynamic platform composed on the straight and through fast sweepers alike.
Visor and Visibility
The visor is both anti-fog treated and scratch-resistant, providing a clean optical field from cold morning commutes through to high-speed track sessions. Tear-off posts are integrated as standard, so the Fawn DVY is ready for circuit use without modification. The compact visor mechanism is precise in its detent positions and robust enough for repeated removal and refitting — a detail that matters when you are changing conditions mid-event.
Ventilation and Interior Comfort
Airflow is managed through five intake vents and seven exhaust outlets, creating a positive pressure differential that draws warm air away from the forehead and crown. On sustained high-speed runs or in summer heat, the difference is perceptible. The removable and washable interior — including Morpho-Pads that adapt to your head's geometry over time — keeps hygiene straightforward and the fit consistently comfortable across a season of use.
Design
The Fawn DVY colourway layers black against yellow, rose and purple in a graphic that reads as purposeful rather than accidental. It is a 2024–2025 collection graphic, designed to project individuality on circuit and on public roads without sacrificing the aerodynamic profile that defines the Aeron's silhouette.
Fitment and Compatibility
The Shark Aeron Fawn DVY is a universal full-face helmet suitable for any rider seeking a premium carbon-composite lid for road or track use. Size selection is straightforward using the head circumference guide below — measure approximately 1 cm above the ears at the widest point of the skull.
