DescriptionThe whole story▼
The modern R7 is a different machine entirely from the R6 it loosely replaced in Yamaha's line-up, built around a twin-cylinder engine borrowed from the MT-07 rather than the four-cylinder unit the R-badge once implied, and this catalogue currently holds no original-type brake lever for it at all, only the clutch side. Accossato lists the AGS01 for the R7 across 2022 to 2024, a silver clutch lever in the original form.
Key Features
- Clutch lever in the original form for the Yamaha R7
- Accossato's entry covers 2022 to 2024
- Silver
- Left of the bar, hydraulic clutch
- An original spare parts type, developed by Accossato for good value
- The manufacturer says its production method improves resistance after damage
- One lever
- No German ABE, no test mark; for racing and competition
Construction and Material Quality
A new engine family under the R badge does not change Accossato's pricing logic: the AGS01 is costed as a repair, not an upgrade, within its original spare parts range. The shape taken is that of the clutch lever the R7 carries. A claimed improvement in resistance after a collision accompanies it, with no figure or material quoted, and this text adds none. Silver is specified here.
A Parallel-Twin Sportsbike, No Brake Lever Yet
Sharing its engine with the MT-07 rather than with any previous R-series machine marks a genuine change in what the R-badge means on this bike, built for an accessible, lightweight sportsbike experience rather than outright top-end power, and the parts catalogue around it is still filling in as fitments are confirmed. At the moment our records hold only this clutch lever for the R7, with no original-type brake lever yet listed; an owner needing the brake side should check back as Accossato's own verification work extends to cover it, or compare the lever already on the bike against the fitments already confirmed for closely related Yamaha models in the meantime.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the AGS01 for the R7 across 2022 to 2024, with no original-type brake lever currently given for this model. The same clutch lever also fits the Aprilia RS 660 and the Tuono 660, among the Aprilia range it is shared with. Accossato's CNC lever for this fitment is the ESY688.
Road Approval
No approval documentation was supplied for the AGS01, so no German ABE and no test mark can be shown, and the lever is listed for racing and competition use.
Scope of Delivery
One silver AGS01 clutch lever.
