DescriptionThe whole story▼
Many RSV4s change hands wearing a collection of aftermarket parts, and many sellers return them to standard before the advert goes online. Aprilia's V4 superbike attracts owners who like to modify, yet buyers often prefer a bike that looks as it left the factory, and levers in the original shape are part of that picture. If the aftermarket clutch lever has gone, or the original one is scarred, Accossato's AGS01 closes the gap: a silver clutch lever in original form, listed for the RSV4 in 2011 and 2012 and from 2015 to 2023.
Key Features
- Clutch lever in original shape for the Aprilia RSV4
- Listed for 2011 to 2012 and 2015 to 2023, across several versions
- Silver, as given by Accossato
- Left-hand lever for the clutch
- Accossato: the manufacturing process increases resistance after damage or a fall
- Developed for good value
- One lever
- No German ABE on file; for track use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato designed the AGS01 to reproduce the shape of the original clutch lever rather than reinterpret it, and files it under original spare parts type. For a seller that is the attraction: nothing at the left grip suggests that the RSV4 has been altered. The company developed the lever to offer good value, and it says the way it is manufactured gives it more resistance after damage or a crash. The finish is silver. Accossato supplies no further technical data.
Back to Standard Before a Sale
Returning a modified RSV4 to standard is usually a weekend's work: original mirrors, indicators and number plate holder, perhaps the stock silencer, and the levers. The clutch lever is the simplest item on that list. Take out the pivot bolt, clean it and the bore it runs in, and apply a thin layer of grease before fitting the replacement. Then set the free play at the lever as the owner's manual specifies and make sure the clutch switch registers the lever, because the starting circuit relies on it. Keep the aftermarket parts together and label them, since some buyers will ask for them. Someone who sees a clean lever in the original shape, correct free play and a clutch that takes up smoothly on the test ride knows that the details have been cared for.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's list for the RSV4 is long. The AGS01 is given for the RSV4 APRC and the Factory APRC SE of 2011 and 2012, the Racer Pack of 2015, the Racing Factory LE of 2015 to 2017, a version Accossato calls FW of 2017, the Racing Factory of 2018 to 2020 and the RSV4 of 2021 to 2023. Under this model name there are no entries for 2013 and 2014. The same lever appears at Inter-Pace for the RSV4 RR and the RSV4 RF, and anyone who wants to keep an aftermarket look can choose Accossato's CNC clutch lever ESV004 instead.
Road Approval
Since we hold no approval documents, for example an ABE or a test mark, for this replacement lever, it is offered for motorsport use.
