Dark Shadow legt ein flaches, seidiges Grau ueber die Form des OXO und laesst sie dadurch als Erstes wirken — was passt, denn die Form leistet hier die Arbeit. Der untere Abschluss des Helms ist beweglich: er dreht nach oben, verriegelt flach auf dem Oberteil, und die Schale war von Anfang an darauf ausgelegt, in beiden Stellungen dicht zu schliessen und zugelassen zu sein. Nachtraeglich aus einer Integralform abgeleitet wurde hier nichts.
Zum Farbnamen, und warum er im Shop anders lautet
Sharks Preisliste bezeichnet den Ton als Gun Silver. Im Lack steckt aber kein Metallicflitter und kein Spiegeln: weder unter direktem Licht noch auf den Herstellerfotos entsteht ein metallischer Eindruck, auch nicht in der Nahaufnahme der Rueckansicht. Was man sieht, ist ein flaches, leicht warmes Mittelgrau, naeher an frisch gegossenem Waffenstahl als an einer polierten Silberflaeche. Deshalb steht in der Farbangabe dieses Artikels Grau und nicht Silber. Das ist eine bewusste Abweichung vom Lieferantenwort: Silber verspricht in diesem Shop einen sichtbaren metallischen Glanz, und den hat Dark Shadow nicht. Was er hat, ist eine Flaeche, die Strassenstaub laenger verbirgt als Weiss und Fingerabdruecke schlechter zeigt als Schwarz.
Vom Zuklappen zum Aufklappen
Zwei Rastpunkte geben den Kinnbereich frei, der im Bogen ueber den Scheitel wandert und dort einrastet. Derselbe Helm, dasselbe Zertifikat, zwei Betriebsarten. Shark gibt fuer beide eine Freigabe an, P fuer geschlossen und J fuer geoeffnet. Diese Doppelfreigabe steht auf der Produktseite des Herstellers; sie ist keine eigene Messung und wird hier auch nicht als solche ausgegeben.

In der Normspalte der Herstellerpreisliste steht bei saemtlichen OXO-Zeilen 2206, ohne FIM-Zusatz. Zum Vergleich tragen die AERON-GP-FIM-Zeilen derselben Liste durchgehend 2206-FIM. Der OXO ist also kein FIM-Helm, und dieser Text behauptet es nicht.
Schalen, Scheiben, Zubehoerlogik
Zwei Formen decken sechs Groessen ab. Das hat eine praktische Folge, die vor dem ersten Nachkauf wichtig wird: die Scheibenfamilie VZ390 kennt jede Toenung zweimal, klein und gross. Sharks Visierseite nennt zwei Visiergroessen, je eine pro Schale, die Preisliste fuehrt zu jedem Farbton zwei Nummern, und die Pinlock-Tabelle auf einer spaeteren Seite bestaetigt dasselbe noch einmal ueber zwei getrennte Einsaetze.
Gewicht: die Spanne statt der Bestzahl
Der Hersteller gibt rund 1.660 g fuer die erste Schalengroesse an. Unabhaengig davon wog SHARP ein selbst gekauftes Exemplar mit ungefaehr 1,7 kg, und ein Redaktionstest kam am eigenen Geraet auf 1.880 g. Diese Beschreibung nennt bewusst alle drei Werte. Die guenstigste Zahl allein waere zwar korrekt zitiert, aber irrefuehrend, weil der Unterschied von gut zweihundert Gramm nach einer langen Etappe am Nacken haengt.
Durchlueftung und Windgeraeusch
Belegt sind zwei Eintrittsoeffnungen, eine am Kinn, eine an der Stirn, jede mit einer einzigen Schaltstellung. Ueber den Luftaustritt schweigt der Hersteller, also schweigt auch dieser Text. Zum Geraeuschniveau liegen zwei Presseaussagen vor, die sich nicht decken: keine Beanstandung im Stadtverkehr bei geoeffnetem Kinnteil auf der einen Seite, die Erwartung eines ruhigen Helms mit ausdruecklichem Hinweis auf zu laute Vorgaengermodelle auf der anderen. Gemessen hat es niemand.
Scheibe, Toenungen und Freigaben
Im Lieferzustand klar, fuer jede Nutzung freigegeben, mit eingesetztem Pinlock 70, nachstellbarer Spannung des Einsatzes, Antikratzschicht, mittiger Verriegelung und werkzeuglosem Wechsel. Wer toenen will, sollte die Freigaben lesen: TE50 gilt nur fuer Tagfahrten, die fuenf Iridium-Toene ausschliesslich fuer die Rennstrecke. Eine optische Klasse gibt Shark fuer diese Scheibenfamilie nicht an, im Gegensatz zu der Scheibe, die mehrere Geschwistermodelle gemeinsam nutzen.
Was diesen Helm alltagstauglich macht
Sonnenblende im Inneren, vorbereitete Plaetze fuer Sharktooth- oder SENA-Einheiten, Brillennut im Wangenpolster, entnehmbares Futter und entnehmbare Wangenpolster. SHARPs Merkmalsliste bestaetigt brillenfreundlich, herausnehmbares Futter und herausnehmbare Wangenpolster unabhaengig von der Herstellerseite. Waschbarkeit und Polsterstaerken sind nirgends dokumentiert.
Preis, in einem Satz Umfeld
Der Listenpreis dieses Dekors betraegt 379,99 Euro. Im selben 2027er Programm liegt der Spartan RS Fibre in Blank Mat bei 359,99 Euro und derselbe Spartan RS Fibre in Dark Shadow Mat bei 389,99 Euro — beide Integralhelme mit festem Kinnteil, beide nur als Preisnachbarn genannt und nicht als technischer Vergleich.
Passform und Kopfform
Sechs Groessen, zwei Schalen, und dadurch ein Wechsel der Grundform mitten im Groessenlauf. Ein Tester beschreibt die Innenkontur als eher oval und fand sie am eigenen Kopf zu oval. Das ist eine Einzelmeinung aus der Fachpresse, kein Datenblattwert — aber die einzige veroeffentlichte Aussage zur Kopfform dieses Modells.
Ersatzteile
Sechzehn Scheiben listet Shark selbst fuer den OXO, von klar ueber TE50 und Dark Smoke bis zu den Iridium-Toenen, zu etwa 31 bis 85 Euro, jede in beiden Schalenversionen. Zusammen mit fuenf Jahren Garantie und der Fertigung in Portugal ergibt das eine reale Ersatzteilversorgung, nicht nur eine Zusage.
Offene Punkte
Nicht vorhanden sind MIPS, ein Notfallauszug der Wangenpolster und Aufnahmen fuer Abreissfolien; eine Photochrom-Freigabe fuehrt Shark nur fuer AERON GP, AERON und RACE R PRO. Unbekannt bleiben Abluftfuehrung, Dezibelwert, DOT, Snell, Waschbarkeit des Futters und Polstergroessen. Die vier SHARP-Sterne stammen aus einem Test vom Mai 2025 und sind ein Ergebnis mit Datum, keine dauerhafte Zusicherung.
Fuer wen dieses Dekor gedacht ist
Eingeordnet ist Dark Shadow unter Touring und Street, und das passt zu einer Schale ohne Dekor: Der Reiz liegt nicht im Auftritt, sondern darin, unterwegs oeffnen zu koennen. An der Tankstelle, an der Grenze, in der Schlange vor der Faehre spricht man mit heruntergeklapptem Buegel, ohne den Helm abzusetzen und die Brille neu zu richten. Ein Graufton verzeiht dabei mehrere Regentage hintereinander besser als Weiss. Wer dagegen Rundenzeiten sucht, ist mit einem reinen Integralhelm ohne Scharnier ehrlicher bedient — der Klappmechanismus ist eine Reisefunktion, keine Rennsportfunktion.
Was die Fachpresse am Mechanismus gemessen hat
Eine Redaktion fuhr das Modell ueber 750 Meilen und vergab am Ende die volle Punktzahl; der Kinnbuegel liess sich dort einhaendig bedienen und arbeitete geschmeidiger als bei frueheren Klapphelmen des Hauses. Eine zweite Redaktion nennt den Mechanismus fest und stabil, kritisiert aber das Entriegeln mit dicken Winterhandschuhen als etwas hakelig. Beide Urteile stammen von Testern, nicht vom Hersteller, und beide gehoeren in dieselbe Beschreibung.
