Ein Kinnteil, das sich öffnet — und die P/J-Frage
🔵 Wir schreiben nicht „offen fahren erlaubt“, weil wir es nicht belegen können: Für den Atom 2 SV veröffentlicht MT keine P/J-Doppelhomologation. Das Kinnteil klappt hoch — ob das im Fahrbetrieb zulässig ist, steht auf dem Etikett im Helm.
🟢 Bedient wird es über eine einzelne Taste, einhändig.
Zur Highlands-Grafik in Grau
Glanzgrau ist im Alltag die dankbarste Kombination, die dieser Helm anbietet: Der Ton verbirgt Staub und Regenschlieren, und die glatte Oberfläche gibt Insektenreste nach dem Einweichen leicht wieder her — anders als die matte Fassung, die beides in ihrer Struktur festhält. Bei einem Klapphelm mit vielen Fugen und Kanten ist das ein echtes Argument, weil sich dort ohnehin am meisten sammelt. 🟢 Die Highlands-Zeichnung gliedert die Fläche und macht aus dem ruhigen Grundton ein Motiv, ohne eine Signalfarbe einzuführen. Auf einer Maschine mit viel Schwarz oder Sichtcarbon fügt sich das gut ein. 🔵 Zur Sichtbarkeit gilt, was für alle grauen Ausführungen gilt: Bei nassem Asphalt unter bedecktem Himmel liegt der Helm im Kontrast dicht an seinem Hintergrund. Dann müssen Jacke, Warnweste oder Reflexmaterial übernehmen — die Zeichnung leistet das nicht.
HIRP, ECE 22.06 und DOT
HIRP steht für High Impact Resistant Polymer. Die Schale verformt sich unter Schlag, verteilt die Last und gibt sie verzögert an den EPS-Kern darunter weiter — dasselbe Prinzip wie bei Faserverbund, mit anderem Materialverhalten und niedrigerem Preis.

MT-ESP — eine Sonnenblende, die den Windabweiser trifft
🟢 Bei einem Tourenhelm ist die Sonnenblende die Ausstattung, die man am häufigsten benutzt — öfter als die Belüftung, öfter als jedes andere Bedienelement. Der Atom 2 SV hat mit der MT-ESP eine, die weiter herunterreicht als üblich.
Ein getöntes Wechselvisier ist damit nicht nötig.
MT-FSOS, MT-ESLS und die Pinlock-Scheibe im Karton
🟢 Zwei Rastpositionen unterscheidet dieser Helm, und das ist mehr, als die meisten bieten: eine Antibeschlagstellung (MT-FSOS) und eine Belüftungsstellung (MT-ESLS). Die eine ist für Feuchtigkeit da, die andere für Wärme.
🟢 Die Pinlock® DKS512 liegt bei.
Der Doppelhaken-Verschluss
🟢 Prüfen Sie den Sitz nach den ersten Wochen erneut: Ein neues Futter setzt sich, und der Riemen muss dann nachgezogen werden. Beim MT-Micrometric+ ist das eine Sache von Sekunden.
Die Doppelhaken-Verzahnung sichert zusätzlich gegen unbeabsichtigtes Öffnen.
Ein Spoiler, der den Auslass verdeckt
🟢 Belüftung ist bei einem Klapphelm schwieriger als bei einem Integralhelm, weil die Kinnteilfuge den Luftweg unterbricht. Umso sinnvoller ist ein Auslass, der die Aerodynamik nutzt statt zusätzliche Öffnungen zu verlangen.
🔵 Zahlen zum Durchsatz gibt es für dieses Modell nicht.
Innenfutter, Passform und der Windabweiser
🟢 Ein Klapphelm sitzt anders als ein Integralhelm: Weil sich das Kinnteil öffnen lässt, ist die Aufweitung beim Aufsetzen geringer — man muss den Helm nicht über die Ohren zwängen. Für Brillenträger ist das der praktische Hauptvorteil der Bauart.
🟢 Das Futter ist herausnehmbar und waschbar; ein Windabweiser liegt bei.
Interkom-Vorbereitung
🟢 Ein Vorteil markenoffener Vorbereitung zeigt sich beim zweiten Gerät: Markenspezifische Halterungen altern mit dem System, offene Aussparungen nicht. Der Atom 2 SV ist nicht auf ein bestimmtes Interkom festgelegt.

Wo er im MT-Programm steht
🟢 Neun Ausführungen stehen zur Wahl: drei einfarbige (Pure), vier Highlands und zwei Dexter. Technisch sind alle neun identisch.
Unterschiedlich sind allein Lack und Oberfläche; Schale, Ausstattung und Zulassung nicht.
Wenn etwas verschleißt
🟢 Ein Helm ist so lange gut, wie man ihn instand halten kann. MT fertigt in Spanien und führt für den Atom 2 SV Visier, Pinlock-Scheibe, Sonnenblende, Futter, Wangenpolster und Windabweiser als Einzelteile.
🔵 Der Helm selbst gehört nach rund fünf Jahren ersetzt.

Yes — the cheek pads are channelled so the arms of your glasses slide in comfortably.
Take out the washable lining and hand-wash it in lukewarm water. Clean the shell and visor with a soft cloth and water only — never solvents.
