Ein Kinnteil, das sich öffnet — und die P/J-Frage
🟢 Ein Klapphelm verbindet zwei Dinge: den Kinnschutz eines Integralhelms im geschlossenen Zustand und die Bequemlichkeit eines Jets im offenen. Der Atom 2 SV löst den Wechsel über eine einhändig bedienbare Taste.
🔵 Für die offene Stellung fehlt die dokumentierte P/J-Kennzeichnung.
Zum matten Dunkelblau
Dunkelblau ist der Ton, mit dem man Farbe bekommt, ohne aufzufallen — er liegt in der Helligkeit nahe bei Schwarz, wird aber als Farbe gelesen und nicht als Nichtfarbe. Matt ausgeführt verstärkt sich der Effekt, weil die gestreute Reflexion den Ton gleichmäßiger zeigt als ein Glanzlack mit seinen Spitzlichtern. Auf einer Maschine in gedeckten Farben ist das die stimmigste der neun Ausführungen. 🔵 Genau darin liegt aber auch die Einschränkung: Zur Sichtbarkeit trägt Dunkelblau kaum mehr bei als Schwarz. Dazu kommt, dass Blautöne beim Übergang zum Nachtsehen schneller an wahrgenommener Helligkeit verlieren als warme Farben — der Helm ist abends dunkler, als er tagsüber wirkt. 🔵 Zur Pflege der matten Oberfläche: einweichen, sanft abnehmen, nicht polieren, weil dabei glänzende Stellen entstehen, die sich nicht mehr angleichen lassen. Bei einem Klapphelm gilt das besonders an den Fugen des Kinnteils.
HIRP, ECE 22.06 und DOT
🟢 Sechs Größen von XS bis XXL auf einer HIRP-Schale mit integriertem Heckspoiler: Das ist der konstruktive Rahmen des Atom 2 SV.
🔵 Eine unabhängige Bewertung dieser Konstruktion gibt es nicht — SHARP führt den Helm nicht, und Klapphelme werden dort selten geprüft.
MT-ESP — eine Sonnenblende, die den Windabweiser trifft
🟢 Innenliegende Sonnenblenden sind in dieser Preisklasse längst Standard — bemerkenswert ist bei der MT-ESP die erweiterte Abdeckung, die bis zum Windabweiser reicht.
🔵 Nie trocken abwischen: Straßenstaub zerkratzt die Beschichtung dauerhaft.
MT-FSOS, MT-ESLS und die Pinlock-Scheibe im Karton
🟢 Die Optikausstattung ist der stärkste Teil dieses Helms: MT-V-35-Visier, zwei Rastsysteme mit Antibeschlag- und Belüftungsstellung, MT-ESP-Sonnenblende und eine beiliegende Pinlock®-DKS512-Scheibe.

Der Doppelhaken-Verschluss
🟢 Zwei Systeme am Kinnriemen, die zusammenarbeiten: der MT-Micrometric+ für die Feineinstellung und die MT-MDTC-Doppelhaken für die Sicherung gegen unbeabsichtigtes Öffnen.

🟢 MT gibt für den Atom 2 SV Interkomtauglichkeit an, ohne ein System vorzuschreiben. In dieser Preisklasse ist das die praktischere Lösung als eine herstellereigene Elektronik, für die man den Aufpreis mitbezahlt.

Yes — the cheek pads are channelled so the arms of your glasses slide in comfortably.
Take out the washable lining and hand-wash it in lukewarm water. Clean the shell and visor with a soft cloth and water only — never solvents.
