DescriptionThe whole story▼
Fluo yellow on the shaft, deep petrol on the foot: the 384 is the Crosscore for riders who want to be spotted from the far side of the track. Underneath the colour sits Sidi's new all-round off-road boot, built from microfiber, armoured with high-density TPU and closed by four buckles you can replace one by one.
Sidi pitches the model at riders of all levels and at a mix of everyday riding and weekend trips into the dirt. If you are buying your first serious motocross boot, or want a dependable pair for club days, this is the target.
Key Features
- Upper in durable microfiber, with a thermoformed tongue for structure
- Flex-back hinge so the shaft can move with the ankle
- TPU guards of high density at tibia, calf, ankle and foot
- Anti-slip, heat-resistant insert on shin plate and calf guard
- Four adjustable polymer buckles, each replaceable
- All-terrain rubber sole aimed at grip, stability and long life
- EN 13634:2017 CE certification, sizes EU 37 to 50
Protection
Where a foot or a rut can hit you, the Crosscore answers with TPU. High-density guards are placed over the tibia, the calf, the ankle and the foot itself, with a separate shin plate at the front. The calf guard on the inner side gets an insert designed to be both grippy and heat-resistant, which keeps your leg from sliding on the frame and protects it from the hot parts of the bike. Formal approval comes from CE certification to EN 13634:2017. No performance levels are given in Sidi's list.
Getting the Fit Right
Sizes run from EU 37 up to 50, and the boot is unisex, so the smaller numbers suit many female and younger adult riders as well. Sidi lists the Crosscore as a regular fit with a slim inner profile, and states that the boot needs no breaking in. The four buckles of the Asymmetric Flexion System let you fine-tune the grip around the shin from the instep upwards. Try the boot with the socks and knee braces you actually ride in.
Built to Be Kept Going
Sidi stresses longevity: the polymer buckles are replaceable, and so are inserts in the boot. In practice that means the parts that suffer first in a fall or on rocks can be renewed instead of the whole pair. Which spare parts are offered separately, and in which colours, is not detailed in our sources, so check with us before you need one.
Track, Trail and Weekend
The manufacturer describes the Crosscore as made for everyday use and weekend adventures, and its sole as designed for traction, durability and bike control on varied terrain. That covers motocross practice and enduro-style trail riding. For riders who race at a high level every weekend, Sidi's more specialised off-road boots are the better reference point.
Materials
About 50 percent of the boot is microfiber, about 25 percent TPU, about 15 percent rubber sole; buckles and hardware plus lining, padding and heat-resistant inserts make up the last tenth. The boot is made in Bangladesh.
What You Should Know
No membrane appears in Sidi's documentation, so expect wet feet in deep water or long rain. There is no ventilation system listed. Weight and the exact sole compound are not published. Claims such as "no break-in required" and "complete impact protection" are Sidi's own wording. The Crosscore is built for off-road riding; walking long distances on hard ground is not what the sole is for.
Colour
The upper shaft, the shin plate and the top three buckles glow in fluo yellow, while the foot section, heel cup, toe and outsole are a dark petrol blue-grey, with black on the instep and inner panel. The buckle levers are picked out in petrol, the Sidi logo on the shin in the same tone. This is the most visible of the four Crosscore colours: in a group, at a race start or on a muddy forest trail, the yellow stands out. Fluo surfaces do show grime and can lose some brightness with UV and washing over the years; the darker petrol lower half hides the worst of the dirt where it collects first.
