DescriptionThe whole story▼
A LighTech fluid reservoir does not come with its mount. LighTech's OBT008 carries the reservoir at 60.6 mm height and 90.3 mm out from the mount. The bracket comes black; colour lives on the reservoir, not the mount. The listing covers the XSR900 across 14 model years (2013 to 2026).
Key Features
- Nothing on the XSR900 is drilled, cut or permanently altered
- Decides where the reservoir ends up on the XSR900
- Covers the XSR900 across 14 model years (2013 to 2026)
- Sold separately from the reservoir, as LighTech supplies it
- 10 g on the XSR900
- The OBT008 is machined from solid, not cast or pressed
Fitment
Fitment is the XSR900 across 2013 to 2026. The bracket carries the reservoir; check the space on your XSR900 before deciding front or rear.
Choosing Front or Rear
The bracket is the part that has to suit the XSR900, not the tank. The OBT008 sets the reservoir at 60.6 mm height with 90.3 mm of projection. One bracket per reservoir — the XSR900 needs the tank ordered alongside.
In the Workshop
The OBT008 replaces an existing part on the XSR900 rather than adding one. Check steering lock on the XSR900 once the tank is in place. Nothing on the XSR900 is drilled or cut.
Maintenance
Anodised aluminium takes brake cleaner badly; keep it off the OBT008. Beyond that the OBT008 asks nothing of you.
Supplied As
The OBT008 is supplied as a single bracket with its fasteners. Packaging carries the reference, so a second order is unambiguous.
What You Also Need
No reservoir is included with the OBT008. The tank — OBT001, OBT006 or OBT007 — is a separate article. A complete installation on the XSR900 is one tank plus one bracket.
Regulations and the Hydraulic Circuit
This part sits in the brake or clutch hydraulic circuit, which makes it more than a styling item. LighTech does not certify the OBT008 for road use, and neither do we. We would rather you asked your inspection body first than found out at the next test.
