DescriptionThe whole story▼
Tobacco gives the Knox Urbane Pro Move a warm brown tone that suits heritage bikes, leather boots and denim. For riders who think an armoured shirt doesn't have to look technical, this is the colour to choose.
Underneath the earthy look is Knox's latest Urbane Pro: EN 17092-3 Class AA as a stand-alone garment, Micro-Lock Compact Level 2 armour at shoulders, elbows and full-length back, and a power mesh lining in place of solid fabric.
Key Features
- Tobacco-brown armoured shirt certified to EN 17092-3 Class AA
- Level 2 Micro-Lock Compact shoulders, elbows and back (EN 1621-2 L2 back)
- Lightweight power mesh lining and In-Motion Mesh panels
- Chest protector ready via branded Velcro panel
- Welded reflective outer pockets, six internal pockets incl. tech pocket
- Thumb loops and Knox trouser belt loop system
- Removable visor wipe, YKK zips, 3D sleeve patch
A Shirt That Looks Like Clothing
Plenty of riders choose an armoured shirt because they don't want to look like they are wearing a motorcycle jacket. In Tobacco the Urbane Pro Move goes a step further: under an open waxed jacket or a flannel overshirt it reads as a casual layer, yet it carries a full set of protectors.
Knox's re-engineered fit is close to the body, so it stays neat under other clothing and keeps the armour in position.
Breathability
Knox replaced the solid linings of earlier Urbane Pro shirts with a strong, lightweight power mesh. Combined with In-Motion Mesh and stretch mesh panels, the shirt lets air move across chest and back. Knox highlights it for long rides and riding through heat.
The main fabric remains Knox's high-tenacity, abrasion-resistant material, which is what allows Class AA certification without an outer jacket.
Protection
Micro-Lock Compact Level 2 protectors sit in the shoulders and elbows, and a full-length back protector certified to EN 1621-2 Level 2 covers the spine. The armour is low profile and flexible, designed to move with you.
A branded Velcro panel inside the front takes an optional Micro-Lock chest protector; Knox reshaped the front of the Move specifically to accommodate it.
Everyday Details
Two welded outer pockets with reflective overlays, six internal stash pockets and a dedicated tech pocket for phone, keys and earphones keep small items organised. A removable visor wipe lives inside.
Thumb loops, YKK zips, an embossed placket, reflective hexagon zip pullers and the 3D sleeve patch finish the shirt, and the belt loop system lets you fix it to your riding trousers.
Who the Tobacco Move Suits
Riders of classic roadsters, scramblers and café racers often skip textile jackets because they clash with the bike. The Tobacco Move solves that: it carries Class AA protection and Level 2 armour while looking like casual clothing, and on hot town rides you need nothing on top.
Knox's men's chart runs S to 5XL by chest and waist. Measure close to the body; if you sit between sizes, Knox advises the larger one.
What You Should Know
Tobacco is a summer colour on a summer garment: the shirt is neither waterproof nor insulated, so add a Knox Seasonless outer layer for cold or rain. The chest protector is not included.
Remove the armour before machine washing.
Colour
Tobacco is a mid-brown with black accents that pairs naturally with blue jeans, brown leather and classic motorcycles. It hides dust better than black and absorbs less heat in the sun. As a muted earth tone it is not a high-visibility colour, so the reflective binding and pocket overlays carry the job of being seen at night.
