Sage is the outdoor colour of the men's Knox Tor: a muted green front with black sleeves that looks at home on a forest track or a campsite. It is the version for riders who want their adventure kit to look like adventure kit.
Technically it matches the other Tor shirts: certified to EN 17092 Class AA, fitted with Micro-Lock Compact Level 2 armour at shoulders and elbows and a full-length Level 2 back protector, so it can be ridden in without a jacket in hot weather.

An Adventure Shirt, Not a Jacket
Knox designed the Tor for touring and adventure riding where the temperature climbs and a full textile jacket stops making sense. Instead of a loose shell with pads, you wear the armour close to the body in a breathable shirt that has passed EN 17092 at Class AA on its own.
The close fit keeps the protectors in position when you are standing up off-road, moving around on the bike, or sliding on gravel.
Fabrics Chosen for Heat
The sage panels are cut from a super lightweight high-tenacity fabric (95 percent nylon, 5 percent spandex) with Knox's new two-tone In-Motion mesh in the zones that need air. Knox's seam layout contours the two fabrics to the body, so the shirt looks tailored rather than baggy.
All-over stretch is what Knox highlights for vigorous riding: the shirt moves when you do, and it stays cool and comfortable on long days.
Where Everything Goes
Four zipped pockets at the front and one at the back carry essentials, all with reflective zip pulls. In the right chest pocket there is a key clip; the left chest pocket carries a cloth wipe for the visor, a small thing that is very welcome on dusty tracks.
Four internal pockets sit behind the front zip. Velcro inside the front panel takes an optional Knox chest protector, and the security belt loops attach the shirt to your trousers.
Weather Backup
For sudden rain Knox pairs the Sage Tor with the Charcoal Tor Shell, an ultralight 10K waterproof over-layer that packs small enough for one of the shirt's pockets. For warmth, a Union Quilt can be worn under or over the shirt.
Sizing and Care
Knox publishes a men's upper-body size chart with chest and waist measurements from S to 5XL, taken close to the body. Choose your normal size if you plan to wear the Tor alone; if you want a thin base layer underneath, check that the chest measurement still sits within the range. Before washing the Sage Tor, take out the armour and close all zips so the mesh does not snag.
What You Should Know
The Tor is made for warm-weather riding and is neither waterproof nor insulated by itself. The chest protector is not included.
Fit is deliberately snug to hold the armour in place; Knox recommends the larger size if you fall between two.
Colour
Sage gives the Tor a military-outdoor look that suits adventure bikes, aluminium panniers and green landscapes. The mid-tone green is lighter than black and absorbs less heat, and it hides dust better than Light Grey. In a forest or against hedges it blends in rather than stands out, so in traffic the reflective piping and neck prints are an important part of its visibility.
