DescriptionThe whole story▼
Certified to ECE 22.06 — the most demanding road homologation standard in force today — the AGV K6 S in Slashcut Black/Grey/Red is built for riders who refuse to compromise on safety, whether they are threading through city traffic, carving mountain roads or covering motorway miles. The razor-edged Slashcut graphic in matte grey, deep black and sharp red accents brings genuine racing character to every ride without sacrificing a single gram of protection.
Key Features
- ECE 22.06 certified for road use — exceeds current international safety standards straight out of the box
- Carbon-Aramid-Composite shell with 4 shell sizes and a 5-density EPS liner for precisely graduated impact absorption across the full head
- Double-D retaining ring — the closure system trusted by professional racing, now on a road-homologated lid
- Collarbone protection profile and integrated reflective elements for enhanced passive safety at night
- Pinlock MaxVision 120 anti-fog insert included — optical Class 1 visor with a vast 190° horizontal and 85° vertical field of view
- AGV ARK Bluetooth communication system (Sena) compatible — wiring and mounting points already integrated
- Optimised for spectacle wearers with a carefully profiled cheek-pad channel
Shell, Structure and Safety
The K6 S shell is constructed from a Carbon-Aramid-Fibre composite — a material chosen for its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio rather than for aesthetic reasons. At approximately 1,255 g (±50 g, smallest shell size), it sits firmly in the lightweight premium bracket without the fragility sometimes associated with pure carbon constructions. AGV produces this shell in four distinct sizes, each paired to an appropriate shell geometry, so the helmet does not simply stuff progressively larger EPS into one mould — a detail that has a direct bearing on how well the lid manages real-world impact energy. The five-density EPS system means different zones of the liner absorb energy at different rates, protecting the brain from both high-speed and low-speed impacts more effectively than a single-compound foam can achieve.
The double-D closure ring is a deliberate engineering choice: micro-adjustable, secure under load, and compliant with the demands of ECE 22.06's retention tests. Emergency cheek-pad release tabs allow first responders to remove the helmet safely without compromising the rider's cervical spine.
Aerodynamics and Ventilation
AGV developed the K6 S profile in its own wind tunnel, targeting the broadest possible range of riding positions — from the tuck of a supersport machine to the upright stance of a naked bike or tourer. An integrated rear spoiler stabilises the helmet at speed, reducing the oscillation and buffeting that causes fatigue on longer runs. Five front air intakes and one large rear exhaust channel work in concert to move air across the EPS and liner, keeping core temperature manageable on warm days. The result is a helmet equally at home on a ten-minute commute and a ten-hour touring day.
Visor and Optics
The supplied visor meets optical Class 1 requirements — the highest grade for distortion-free vision in road use. A panoramic aperture of 190° horizontally and 85° vertically is among the widest in the full-face segment, delivering the peripheral awareness that makes a genuine difference in traffic. The Pinlock MaxVision 120 anti-fog insert ships in the box and locks into dedicated pins on the visor, forming a moisture-sealed inner lens that eliminates fogging in cold or damp conditions. AGV's patented quick-release mechanism allows tool-free visor changes in seconds, and the visor lock prevents accidental opening at speed.
Interior Comfort and Practicality
The inner lining combines DrySpeed, Shalimar and Ritmo premium fabrics — materials chosen for their immediate moisture-wicking action, antibacterial treatment and skin-friendly texture. The entire interior is fully removable and machine washable, so the helmet remains fresh across long seasons of use. Spectacle wearers benefit from profiled channels in the cheek pads that allow temple arms to sit without pressure. A wind deflector and removable nose guard are included in the box, giving riders fine control over airflow and road noise at different speeds.
Connectivity
The K6 S is factory-prepared for the AGV ARK communication system, developed in partnership with Sena. The necessary recesses, speaker cavities and cable routing points are already present in the shell and liner, so fitting an ARK unit requires no modification and no cutting. AGV-specific accessories and adapters for the K6 S are included, making the upgrade to full Bluetooth intercom straightforward.
Fitment and Compatibility
The AGV K6 S Slashcut Black/Grey/Red is a universal road helmet homologated for all motorcycle types and riding disciplines. It is particularly well suited to naked bikes, supersport machines and touring motorcycles. No vehicle-specific fitment restriction applies — size selection is based on head circumference alone.

“Light enough that you stop noticing it, quiet by road-helmet standards and backed by the best crash-test result on this page. It gives up ground only on aerodynamics — this is a fast road helmet, not a race shell.”
