DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Panigale 899 is the smaller-capacity sibling of Ducati's big superbikes, with the same sharp lines, and whatever colour its bodywork, it draws plenty of attention on its own. Not every owner wants the levers to add another loud colour. Accossato's LV013 folding brake lever for the Panigale 899 of 2014 to 2015 comes in eight blade colours, and one of them, titanium, offers a quiet alternative. The lever fits the original master cylinder and is adjustable in reach.
Key Features
- Folding brake lever for the Panigale 899, 2014 to 2015
- Mounts on the original brake master cylinder
- Blade in titanium, black, blue, gold, green, orange, red or silver
- Black anodised base with reach adjuster
- Hinged blade that can fold away from an impact
- RST or NRST blade
- Machined from aluminium
Construction and Material Quality
The LV013 consists of two aluminium parts, machined on CNC equipment and anodised. The black base stays at the pivot and holds the reach adjuster; the blade, connected by a hinge, carries the colour. Titanium in this context is the name of an anodised colour, and the blade itself is aluminium like every other version. You can order it with an RST cut-out that lightens it slightly, or as a closed NRST blade, and the hinge is the same either way.
A Quieter Colour: Titanium
Coloured levers are one of the quickest ways to personalise a sports bike, and many owners choose a bright blade in gold or orange. On a Panigale 899 there is a case for restraint. The bike's shape is already busy with lines and vents, and a bright lever draws the eye to a small detail rather than to the whole. A titanium blade on the black base gives the cockpit a technical look without competing with the bodywork.
There is a practical side too. A neutral colour survives changes to the rest of the bike: a new paint scheme, a different set of wheels, or a racing livery for track days. Should the Panigale 899 ever go down, the hinge between blade and base gives the lever a chance to fold rather than snap. And if you prefer a matching pair, the LV015 clutch lever for the same bike is also made in titanium, so both ends of the bar can share the same understated shade.
Fitment and Compatibility
Two model years of the Panigale 899, 2014 and 2015, are covered by the LV013 in Accossato's list, with US and Thai versions among the entries. It replaces the brake lever on the original master cylinder. Alongside it, Accossato offers the LV015 for the clutch and the RA002, a brake lever with remote adjuster, for the same bike and years.
Road Approval
The LV013 has no German ABE on record and is sold for track use.
