Sharks eigener Produkttitel nennt diese Farbe "Bleu Steel", doch die Schale in der Hand wirkt eher wie ein mattes Gunmetal-Grau als ein wirklich blauer Ton – bei direktem Licht liegt ein leichter kuehler Schimmer darauf, aber bei weitem nicht genug Saettigung, um sie schlicht blau zu nennen. Deshalb ist der Farbfilter dieses Eintrags auf Grau gesetzt, statt Sharks eigene Namensgebung unkritisch zu uebernehmen. Es ist ein ruhiges, sachliches Finish, eine Nuance dunkler in der Stimmung als die einfachen Blank-Dekore, ohne jede aufgedruckte Grafik.
Schlicht, und als schlicht beschrieben
Sharks eigene Texte zur Skwal-Jet-Reihe bleiben durchgehend in Alltagssprache – Einfachheit, Mobilitaet, klare Linien – ohne aerodynamische Behauptung oder Spoiler in den eigenen Unterlagen, anders als beim Jet-Cup-Schwestermodell, das eigens um eine im Windkanal getestete Heckfinne konstruiert wurde. Dark Shadow ist hier ein Finish-Name, kein Leistungsversprechen: er beschreibt die stahlgraue Farbbehandlung, keine andere Konstruktionsstufe darunter.
Schale und Verschluss
Lexan-Polycarbonat, geteilt mit der uebrigen 2027er-Skwal-Reihe, mit Mikrometerschnallen-Verschluss – feinstufige Verstellung, Loesen in einer Bewegung.
Was ECE 22.06 tatsaechlich prueft
Die Zulassung dieses Helms ist ECE 22.06, die Strassennorm, die seit Januar 2024 EU-weit fuer neu typgepruefte Helme Pflicht ist. Sie ist eine wirklich schaerfere Pruefung als ihre Vorgaengernorm 22.05: achtzehn Aufprallpunkte ueber mehrere Geschwindigkeiten statt fuenf Punkte bei einer, ein ergaenzter Schraegaufprall-Test gegen einen abrasiven Amboss, der die Schale verdreht statt gerade fallen zu lassen, und ein bewertetes Brain Injury Criterion fuer Rotationskraefte, die die aeltere Norm vollstaendig ignorierte. Visier, Pinlock-Einsatz und eine eventuelle Kommunikationsanlage bleiben fuer die Pruefung montiert. Das Papier dieses Modells traegt die Norm 2206, ohne FIM-Zusatz.
Gewicht und Nackenlast
1.395 g (+/-50 g) ist Sharks angegebener Wert fuer die kleinere der moeglichen Schalengroessen. Dieses Gewicht liegt oberhalb des koerpereigenen Schwerpunkts und wird bei jeder Kopfbewegung ueber eine Fahrt mitgetragen, weshalb selbst ein moderater Gewichtsunterschied ueber einen ganzen Tag spuerbar wird statt in einem einzelnen Moment.
Lueftung
Das Lueftungssystem zieht Luft durch zwei vordere Einlaesse und laesst sie durch zwei hintere Auslaesse entweichen. Ohne Kinnbuegel im Weg ist der Weg vom Einlass zur Stirn kurz und direkt – ein einfaches System, klar auf dem eigenen Datenblatt dieses Modells angegeben.
Visier und Pinlock
Hier verbaut ist die VZ670-Visierfamilie, geteilt mit dem Skwal Jet Cup und dem LED-Skwal i3 Jet – seitlich verriegelnd, anti-kratz-beschichtet, mit Wirbelgenerator im Rand. Es wird mit bereits montiertem Max-Vision-Pinlock-70-Einsatz geliefert, dessen Spannung einstellbar ist. Jede Toenung ausser Klar, die Shark fuer diese Schale verkauft, ist Racing-only; Klar ist die einzige strassenzugelassene Option fuer alle.
Sonnenblende und Alltag
Die innenliegende Sonnenblende arbeitet ueber eine eigene Bedienung, getrennt vom Hauptvisier, und das Innenfutter ist so geformt, dass es keinen Druck auf Brillenbuegel ausuebt. Shark nennt fuer diesen Helm ausdruecklich sowohl SENA- als auch Sharktooth-Interkom-Kompatibilitaet.
Passform
Der Groessenbereich reicht von XS bis XXL. Ob dieser Bereich auf einer oder mehreren Schalenformen aufgebaut ist, gibt Shark fuer dieses Modell nicht an – das Jet-Cup-Schwestermodell hat eine unabhaengige Bestaetigung von zwei Schalen, dieses nicht, und diese Luecke bleibt eine Luecke statt mit einer Vermutung gefuellt zu werden.
Windgeraeusche, ehrlich gesagt
Es waere irrefuehrend zu behaupten, dieser Helm sei bei Tempo so leise wie ein Integralhelm – das ist er nicht, weil die Front offen ist und das Visier ohne Abdichtung naeher am Kiefer sitzt. Der Wirbelgenerator am Visier senkt Turbulenzen, ohne diese grundlegende Geometrie zu aendern. Shark veroeffentlicht keinen Dezibelwert fuer dieses Modell, und dieser Text erfindet keinen.

Bei 219,99 EUR liegt Dark Shadow Stahlgrau eine Stufe ueber den Blank-Dekoren – der Preis fuer ein eigenstaendiges Finish statt einer gedruckten Grafik.

Was dieser Helm nicht schuetzt
Es lohnt sich, das an diesem Preispunkt klar zu sagen: Dieser Helm hat keinen Kinnbuegel. Ein Frontal- oder Low-Side-Aufprall, der bei einem Integralhelm den Kinnbereich belasten wuerde, trifft hier auf nichts Gleichwertiges – der Kiefer- und Mundbereich ist offen, konstruktionsbedingt. Die oben genannte ECE-22.06-Zertifizierung prueft die Schale, das Rueckhaltesystem und das montierte Visier; sie kann keine Abdeckung pruefen, die nicht existiert.
Das Stahlgrau selbst
Das matte Grau hat einen leichten kuehlen Unterton statt eines warmen Anthrazits, was vermutlich Sharks eigener "Bleu Steel"-Benennung entspricht, wirkt aber gegen die tatsaechlichen Produktfotos grau, nicht blau. Es sitzt zwischen den einfachen Blank-Dekoren und der schwarzen Dark-Shadow-Farbversion dieser Reihe, ohne genau eines der beiden zu treffen.
Fuer wen sich dieses Dekor eignet
Diese Farbversion eignet sich fuer Fahrer, die etwas weniger Flaches als reines Schwarz wollen, aber weiterhin zurueckhaltend bleiben moechten – eine echte dritte Option im neutralen Farbangebot dieser Reihe, nicht einfach Schwarz oder Weiss unter anderem Namen.
