Die AFRC-Schale (Advanced Fiberglass Reinforced Composite) — eine präzise Matrix aus Epoxidpolymer und hochfesten Glasfasern — bietet ein Verhältnis von Steifigkeit zu Gewicht, das ambitionierte Streckenfahrer sofort zu schätzen wissen, alles veredelt mit einer zweckmäßigen matten Lackierung, die kleineren Abrieb übersteht und bei 200 km/h genauso scharf aussieht wie in der Boxengasse.

Schalenkonstruktion und Materialien
Die Schale des GP-R Tech Race wird aus AFRC gefertigt — Advanced Fiberglass Reinforced Composite —, einem Hybridmaterial, bei dem Glasfaserverstärkung in eine Epoxidharzmatrix eingebettet ist. Das Ergebnis ist eine Schale, die Aufprallenergie effektiv verteilt und dabei für ihre Kategorie bemerkenswert leicht bleibt. Fünf einzelne Schalengrößen decken den gesamten Bereich von zwölf Helmgrößen ab, sodass die Geometrie um Ihren Kopf herum nie durch eine zu große oder zu kleine Außenstruktur beeinträchtigt wird. Kombiniert mit neun Innenschalengrößen wird klar, warum NHK den GP-R Tech Race als wirklich passgenauen Rennhelm positioniert und nicht als Einheitsschale-für-alle-Kompromiss.
Aerodynamik und Belüftung
Jede Oberfläche des GP-R Tech Race wurde im Windkanal verfeinert und gegen die aerodynamischen Anforderungen des Rennsports der MotoGP-Klasse validiert. Das 4D-Air Belüftungssystem leitet frische Luft mit minimaler Verwirbelung durch die Schale und über den Kopf des Fahrers und hält so die Kerntemperatur bei anhaltend hohem Tempo niedrig. Das matte Balinese-Garuda-Finish trägt mit seiner leicht texturierten Oberfläche zur Kontrolle der Grenzschichtströmung bei und reduziert Auftrieb und Instabilität bei hoher Geschwindigkeit.
Visiersystem
Die flache Visiergeometrie erweitert das Sichtfeld im Vergleich zu stark gewölbten Alternativen und reduziert optische Verzerrung am Rand — ein echter Vorteil beim Anvisieren von Scheitelpunkten oder beim Blick in die Spiegel im Rennsporttempo. Das zu 100 % mechanische Visiersystem benötigt kein Werkzeug und keine zusätzlichen Clips zum Entfernen oder Anbringen des Visiers. Das Visier wird PinLock-vorbereitet ausgeliefert (PinLock-Einsatz im Lieferumfang enthalten) und akzeptiert handelsübliche Tear-Off-Folien für nasse oder staubige Bedingungen.
Komfort und Praxistauglichkeit
Das herausnehmbare Innenfutter besteht aus hochwertigen Materialien, die Feuchtigkeit von der Haut ableiten, und lässt sich in wenigen Minuten entnehmen, maschinell waschen und wieder einsetzen — essenzielle Hygiene für alle, die mehrere Sessions im selben Helm verbringen. Die Wangenpolster verfügen über eine Notfall-Zuglasche, mit der medizinisches Personal den Helm sicher abnehmen kann, ohne die Halswirbelsäule des Fahrers zu belasten. Ein vorbereiteter Trinkanschluss nimmt einen handelsüblichen Camel-Bag-Trinkschlauch auf, und das Schalenprofil bietet Platz für eine Sehhilfe ohne Druckstellen.
