Ein Café-Racer-Jet — und welche Generation das hier ist
🔵🔵 Zuerst eine Klarstellung, die man leicht überliest: Es gibt zwei Helme mit fast demselben Namen. Der ältere Le Mans 2 SV ist nach ECE 22.05 zugelassen; dieser hier ist das „S“-Modell nach ECE 22.06.
🟢 Was Sie hier kaufen, ist die aktuelle Norm — mit mehr Aufprallpunkten, zusätzlicher Prüfung bei geringerer Geschwindigkeit und Rotationsbelastung. Ältere Bewertungen gelten nicht für dieses Modell.
Zum gebürsteten Grau
Ein Bürsteffekt entsteht aus feinen, gleichgerichteten Linien in der Oberfläche, die das Licht nicht diffus, sondern entlang einer Achse zurückwerfen. Der Effekt ist derselbe wie bei gebürstetem Aluminium: Die Fläche wirkt je nach Blickwinkel heller oder dunkler und bekommt dadurch Tiefe, die ein glatter Lack nicht hat. Auf einer klassischen Maschine mit viel poliertem Metall schließt sich das Bild besonders gut. 🟢 Praktisch bringt der Grauton einen Vorteil gegenüber Schwarz: Die Helligkeit liegt weit genug oben, dass sich die Silhouette vor Asphalt und Baumreihe noch abhebt — bei einem Helm ohne Kinnschutz ist Gesehenwerden der wichtigste Beitrag, den eine Farbe leisten kann. 🔵 Zur Pflege: Gerichtete Oberflächen zeigen Wischspuren stärker als glatte, weil jede Bewegung quer zur Bürstrichtung sichtbar bleibt. Einweichen, abspülen, dann in Richtung der Struktur sanft abnehmen — nicht kreisend wischen und nicht polieren. Zur Einordnung: Technisch entspricht diese Fassung exakt den beiden anderen. Ein praktischer Vorteil der Bauart: Bei einem offenen Helm setzt man die Brille auf, nachdem der Helm sitzt. Der Bügel muss sich nicht am Wangenpolster vorbeidrücken, und beim Absetzen bleibt die Brille, wo sie ist — bei einem Stadthelm, der mehrmals täglich abgenommen wird, zählt das.
Was ein offener Helm leistet — und was nicht
🔵 Kein Kinnschutz — und dazu keine Sicherheitsbewertung: SHARP prüft offene Jethelme nicht im Labor, ADAC und Snell führen den Le Mans 2 SV S ebenso wenig, und ein veröffentlichter Test des aktuellen Modells existiert nicht.
Die ECE-22.06-Zulassung ist der einzige Prüfnachweis — und sie ist eine Mindestanforderung, keine Bewertung.
HIRP und 1125 Gramm
🟢 1125 Gramm sind für einen zugelassenen Helm sehr wenig, und der Grund ist einfach: kein Kinnbügel, keine Visiermechanik, keine schwere Ausstattung. Zum Vergleich: Ein Integralhelm liegt bei 1400 bis 1600 Gramm.
Die Schale ist HIRP-Thermoplast — unempfindlich gegen die punktuellen Schläge des Alltags.
Die ausklappbare Sonnenblende
🟢 Die Blende sitzt innen und lässt sich mit einer Hand bedienen, ohne den Helm abzusetzen. An der Ampel bleibt sie, wo sie ist; beim Absetzen geht sie nicht verloren — beides Vorteile gegenüber einer Sonnenbrille.
🔵 Sie ist getönt und für Tageslicht gedacht; bei Dämmerung gehört sie hoch.
Warum hier kein Interkom möglich ist
🔵🔵 Eine Ausstattungslücke, die man vor dem Kauf kennen muss: keine Interkom-Vorbereitung. Das ist keine Auslassung im Datenblatt, sondern eine ausdrückliche Angabe des Herstellers — es gibt weder Aussparungen im Futter noch einen Halterungsschlitz.
Bei einem Stadthelm, der oft im Alltag gefahren wird, ist das die relevanteste Einschränkung nach dem fehlenden Kinnschutz.
Der MT-Micrometric+-Verschluss
🟢 Eine mikrometrische Ratsche lässt sich mit Handschuhen bedienen und behält die eingestellte Länge, wenn man sie öffnet. Der MT-Micrometric+ ist entsprechend ausgelegt.
Ein Jethelm muss stramm sitzen — ihn hält nichts außer dem Riemen, weil kein Kinnbügel im Weg ist.
Innenfutter, Komfort und Reinigung
🟢 Bei einem Jethelm liegt der Futterrand offen — man sieht ihn bei jedem Blick auf den Fahrer. Umso mehr lohnt es sich, ihn sauber zu halten; herausnehmbar und waschbar ist er beim Le Mans 2 SV S vollständig.
Wangenpolster und komplettes Futter sind zudem als Ersatzteil erhältlich.
Die richtige Größe finden
🟢 Ein Jethelm verzeiht bei der Größe weniger als ein Integralhelm, weil ihn nichts unter dem Kinn hält: Sitzt er zu locker, wandert er im Fahrtwind nach hinten. Der Kinnriemen muss stramm sitzen, nicht bequem.
Zur Auswahl stehen sechs Größen, von 53 bis 64 Zentimeter Kopfumfang.
Wo er im MT-Programm steht
🟢 MT-Helmets fertigt in Spanien. Der Le Mans 2 SV S gehört mit 1125 Gramm zu den leichtesten Helmen der Marke und ist zugleich einer der einfachsten — bewusst.
🔵 Für Landstraße und Autobahn ist er die falsche Wahl; für kurze Strecken bei Stadttempo die richtige.
Wenn etwas verschleißt
🔵 Der EPS-Kern arbeitet genau einmal. Nach jedem echten Aufprall gehört der Helm ersetzt, auch wenn außen nichts zu sehen ist — von außen sind Schaumschäden nicht erkennbar.
🟢 Bis dahin sind Visier, Sonnenblende, Wangenpolster und Futter einzeln nachkaufbar.
