Knox beschreibt den Damen-Shield als ersten Hoodie der Klasse AAA, der speziell für Motorradfahrerinnen entwickelt wurde. Es ist ein Hoodie mit durchgehendem Reißverschluss, der wie Sportbekleidung aussieht und sich so anfühlt, gefertigt aus einer einzigen Schutzlage nach EN 17092 Klasse AAA.
Micro-Lock Compact Protektoren sind an Schultern, Ellbogen und Rücken eingesetzt, der Shield ist also ein komplettes Fahroberteil für Stadt und kurze Strecken, entworfen von Knox in Großbritannien, das Patent ist angemeldet.

Ein Hoodie für Fahrerinnen
Knox hat den Damen-Shield für alle Fahrerinnen und jedes Terrain entworfen. Er sieht aus und fühlt sich an wie Sportbekleidung, macht aber, wie Knox sagt, beim Schutz keine Kompromisse. Der Schnitt folgt der weiblichen Figur und sitzt eng, damit die Protektoren dort bleiben, wo sie hingehören.
Dank durchgehendem Reißverschluss ziehst Du ihn leicht über ein T-Shirt, und neben dem Motorrad sieht er ganz normal aus.
Das Gewebe
Der Shield ist aus Fasern aus ultrahochmolekularem Polyethylen gestrickt, bekannt für außergewöhnliche Festigkeit und Haltbarkeit, kombiniert mit Elasthan und weicher Baumwolle für Dehnung und Komfort. Dieser eine Stoff erreicht Klasse AAA, ein separates Abriebfutter, das auftragen würde, gibt es nicht.

Protektoren
Micro-Lock Compact Protektoren sitzen an Schultern und Ellbogen in Level 1, der Rückenprotektor erreicht Level 2 nach EN 1621-2. Die Polster sind flach, damit der Hoodie seine lässige Form behält.
Eine Klettfläche innen an der Front nimmt den optionalen Micro-Lock Brustprotektor von Knox auf.
Praktische Details
Zwei Außentaschen mit Zip und weichen Zippern, eine davon mit zusätzlichem Visiertuch, zwei flache Innentaschen sowie ein Fach für Ohrstöpsel und Handy kümmern sich um den Stauraum. Weiche Stretchbündchen schließen Ärmel und Saum ab, Daumenschlaufen geben Halt.
Die Reflexdrucke sind tagsüber schwarz und reflektieren nachts. Mit den Knox Gürtelschlaufen verbindest Du den Hoodie mit der Jeans, die passende Shield Jogginghose gibt es separat.
Alltag und Größe
Seine Stärken spielt der Damen-Shield in der Stadt, beim Pendeln mit dem Roller und auf Wochenendtouren aus, nach denen Du ohne Umziehen herumlaufen willst. Unter einer offenen Regenjacke funktioniert er im Frühjahr und Herbst auch als Schutzschicht, eine Temperaturangabe macht Knox allerdings nicht.
Die Knox Damentabelle arbeitet mit Brust, Taille und Hüfte; den Shield gibt es von XS bis XXL, zwischen zwei Größen rät Knox zur größeren. Vor dem Waschen die Protektoren herausnehmen und die Pflegeetiketten genau befolgen.
Was Du wissen solltest
Der Shield bietet keinen Regenschutz und ist nicht so winddicht wie eine Schale; bei schlechtem Wetter kommt eine Außenlage darüber. Schulter- und Ellbogenprotektoren erreichen Level 1. Der Brustprotektor ist optional und nicht enthalten.
Damengrößen von XS bis XXL. Vor der Maschinenwäsche die Protektoren herausnehmen und den Pflegeetiketten folgen.
Farbe
Schwarz ist die einzige Farbe des Damen-Shield, gewählt, damit er wie Alltagskleidung aussieht. Er passt zu Jeans, Jogginghose und Motorradhose und verzeiht Flecken. Tagsüber fällt er im Verkehr nicht auf, nachts helfen die Reflexdrucke, damit andere Dich sehen.
