Der Torque 4 Air ist die perforierte Variante der bewährten Torque-4-Plattform von Dainese, speziell für Sommerbedingungen weiterentwickelt. Der perforierte Mikrofaser-Schaft ist kein kosmetisches Detail — er ist strukturelle Belüftung, die die Innentemperatur sowohl bei langen Autobahnetappen als auch im langsamen Stadtverkehr beherrschbar hält. Das Double Jersey Airgap-Futter fügt unmittelbar am Fuß eine zweite Schicht Luftzirkulation hinzu, sodass der Vorteil spürbar ist und nicht nur beworben wird.
Die Haltbarkeit wird durch den Einsatz von D-Stone™-Gewebe sichergestellt — einer elastischen, hochgradig abriebfesten Textilverstärkung, die in die beim Rutschen am stärksten exponierten Zonen integriert ist. Die Fersenkappe aus Magnesium ist abnehmbar und austauschbar, und die äußeren Magnesium-Einsätze an Zehe und Ferse sind darauf ausgelegt, sauber über den Asphalt zu gleiten, wodurch die auf den Knöchel übertragenen Rotationskräfte bei einem Sturz reduziert werden. Ein spezieller TPU-Schaltschutz am Obermaterial verhindert den Abrieb, der ungeschützte Stiefel innerhalb einer einzigen Saison täglichen Fahrens durchscheuert.
Ersatz-Slider-Kits sind separat erhältlich, sodass die Stiefel nach einem Sturz wieder in den vollen Schutzzustand versetzt werden können, anstatt komplett ersetzt werden zu müssen:
