Raceblock tauscht Inkriders gebrochenes Tintenmuster gegen klare Farbflächen: Schwarz, Blau und Anthrazit, angeordnet in sauberen, hart abgegrenzten Blöcken statt einer gedruckten Textur, in Hochglanz ausgeführt. Es liest sich als Grafik, nicht als Rennlackierung — kein Fahrername, nur eine Form, die auf dem eigenen aerodynamischen Profil des Skwal Cup gut sitzt.
Streckenerbe, Straßeneinsatz
Shark hat diesen Spoiler nicht isoliert für den Skwal Cup entworfen — die Form stammt von den Wettbewerbshelmen der Marke, wo aerodynamische Stabilität bei sehr hohem Tempo eine Sicherheitsanforderung ist, kein nettes Extra. Skaliert und für den Straßeneinsatz abgestimmt per numerischer Strömungssimulation und im Windkanal bestätigt, erledigt derselbe Heckspoiler nun seine Aufgabe bei Autobahntempo statt bei Grand-Prix-Tempo: Er hält die Schale ruhig, statt sie von Turbulenz umherschieben zu lassen.
Das Raceblock-Dekor im Einsatz
Glanzschwarz, Blau und Anthrazit in hart abgegrenzten Blöcken wischen sich von Insekten und Straßenfilm leichter sauber als eine matte Schale, zeigen dafür feine Kratzer etwas deutlicher — ein fairer Tausch für einen Helm, der scharf aussehen soll statt eingefahren. Die Blockaufteilung folgt den Linien der Schale, statt flach darüberzuliegen, und orientiert sich an der Form des Spoilers statt sie zu ignorieren. Neben Inkriders gebrochener, gedruckter Textur ist Raceblock der grafischere, weniger malerische der beiden Ansätze, die Shark auf dieser Schale anbietet — flache Farbflächen statt eines Musters, die aus der Ferne auf der Straße klarer lesbar sind, auch wenn sie aus der Nähe weniger Detail zeigen. Wer zwischen beiden wählt, entscheidet sich nicht zwischen besser und schlechter — Inkrider passt zu Fahrern, die Textur mögen und es nicht stört, dass sie je nach Licht anders wirkt, Raceblock passt zu Fahrern, die die Farben aus jedem Winkel gleich sehen wollen.
Alte Norm gegen neue
ECE 22.05, bis 2024 in Kraft, prüfte die Schale eines Helms an fünf festen Punkten, bei einer Aufprallgeschwindigkeit, und testete sie als nackte Schale ohne montiertes Visier. ECE 22.06 — seit Januar 2024 EU-weit Pflicht, und die Norm, zu der der Skwal Cup zertifiziert ist — prüft achtzehn Punkte bei mehreren Geschwindigkeiten, ergänzt einen Schrägaufprall-Test gegen einen rauen Amboss, um die drehenden Kräfte eines echten Sturzes nachzubilden, führt ein rotatorisches Brain Injury Criterion neben der älteren linearen Messung ein und prüft den Helm so, wie er tatsächlich getragen wird: mit Visier, Pinlock-Einsatz und montierter Kommunikationseinheit. Dieses Modell trägt 2206 ohne FIM-Zusatz.
Sicht von der ersten Fahrt an
Ein Visier der optischen Klasse 1 mit montiertem Pinlock-70-Einsatz regelt Beschlagen ohne separaten Kauf, und es lässt sich werkzeuglos zur Reinigung lösen. Photochrome Tönung wird für diese Schale nicht angeboten — Sharks IRID-Kompatibilitätsliste nennt AERON GP, AERON und RACE R PRO, und der Skwal Cup gehört nicht dazu.
Nackenermüdung ist kumulativ
Ein Helm wird während einer Fahrt nicht schwerer — aber der Nacken, der ihn hält, ermüdet zunehmend, und das ist ein kumulativer Effekt, kein fester, weshalb Gewicht auf einer fünfstündigen Fahrt mehr zählt als auf einer fünfminütigen. Sharks Angabe für den Skwal Cup lautet 1.580 g (+/-50 g), gemessen für die kleinste Schalengröße; die größere Schale für L bis XXL wird für dieselbe Konstruktion üblicherweise etwas mehr wiegen. Gemessen an der Spanne von etwa 1.250 g bis 1.800 g, in der die meisten straßenzugelassenen Integralhelme unseres Sortiments liegen, sitzt der Skwal Cup näher an der Mitte als an einem der Ränder.
Luftstrom, einfach gehalten
Ein Einlass vorn, zwei Auslässe hinten — ein kompaktes Layout, das die aerodynamischen Linien der Schale nicht mit zusätzlichen Hutzen unterbricht.
Reinigen nach einer heißen Fahrt
Das Alveotech-Futter für die Wäsche herauszunehmen dauert wenige Minuten und braucht kein Werkzeug — das antibakterielle Material mit Wildlederoptik ist für wiederholte, kilometerreiche Wochen gebaut, nicht nur für den ersten Eindruck.
Sonnenblende, Kommunikation, Brille
Die innenliegende Sonnenblende arbeitet über einen Schieberegler am Scheitel. Die Schale nimmt eine Kommunikationseinheit im SENA-Stil ohne Änderung auf. Das äußere Visier lässt sich werkzeuglos entfernen. Die Wangenpolster sind so geschnitten, dass Platz für Brillenbügel bleibt.
Die Passform richtig treffen
Die Größenreihe reicht von XS bis XXL über zwei Schalengrößen, was verhindert, dass die kleinere Hälfte der Reihe in einer überdimensionierten Schale fährt und die größere Hälfte zu wenig Schale bekommt.
Was der Preis tatsächlich kauft
Bei 319,99 € sitzt dieses Dekor über dem Ridill 2 (ab 189,99 €) und dem D-Skwal 3 (ab 219,99 €), und nahe am Skwal i3 (319,99 € bis 399,99 € je nach Dekor) und dem Skwal i Cup (ab 329,99 €). Der Unterschied zwischen diesem Helm und den letzten beiden ist nicht die Schale, der Spoiler oder die Zulassung — es ist das LED-Bremslicht-System, das jene tragen und der Skwal Cup nicht.
Teileverfügbarkeit
Vier Shark-Straßenlinien teilen sich eine Ersatzvisier-Kollektion — Skwal Cup, Ridill 2, D-Skwal 3 und Skwal i3 —, was bestätigt, dass Visiere für diesen Helm als laufendes Ersatzteil geführt werden, nicht als Einmalartikel nur zum Original-Helm.
Sechs Dinge, die dieser Helm nicht ist
Er ist nicht LED-ausgestattet — das sind der Skwal i3 und der Skwal i Cup. Er ist nicht SHARP-bewertet — das Programm hat den Skwal Cup nie getestet, nur Skwal, Skwal 2 und D-Skwal. Er ist nicht FIM-homologiert — nur ECE 22.06. Er trägt kein MIPS-Futter. Er nutzt kein elektronisches Schnellentriegelungssystem. Und sein Visier hat keine Tear-off-Stifte.
Im Lieferumfang

Trotz der Herkunft des Spoilers ist an der Technik des Skwal Cup nichts reine Streckensache — Zulassung, Belüftung und Komfortfutter sind auf einen Helm ausgelegt, der die meiste Zeit auf dem Arbeitsweg oder einer Wochenendausfahrt verbringt, nicht auf einer Rennstrecke, und Raceblocks Grafik ändert daran nichts. Es ist ein Helm, der zuerst für den Arbeitsweg gebaut ist und erst danach für die Wochenendausfahrt, wobei sich zwischen den Dekoren nur die Grafik ändert.
