The inner lining is the padded cap that sits directly on top of your head inside the X.R3R. It is the part that takes the sweat of every session, and it is the first piece of the interior to lose its shape. This is the original Nexx replacement liner for the X.R3R, offered in every helmet size from XXS to XXL.
What the liner looks like
The Nexx photo shows a crown liner with black padded panels, a white mesh section on both sides and a black centre strip with white and red lines and the Nexx X logo near the forehead. The front edge carries a mesh brow pad, and a black plastic frame with slots runs along the back edge. Cheek pads are not part of this item; Nexx lists them under their own number.
Reasons to replace it
Once the padding has flattened, the helmet sits lower on your head and can tip forward under braking. A liner that smells even straight after washing, torn fabric or a broken fastening tab are other good reasons. A fresh liner also helps if you bought a used X.R3R and would rather not wear someone else's padding.
Size selection
Choose the size printed on your helmet label. The list carries seven variants, XXS to XXL, matching the X.R3R size range. Nexx does not offer this liner in alternative thicknesses, so it restores the factory fit rather than changing it.
Taking it out and putting it in
Nexx describes the X.R3R interior as removable and washable, made with its X-Mart Dry fabrics. Take out the cheek pads first, then release the liner from the shell. Fit the new one in the reverse order, starting at the front, and check that the brow pad lies flat before the cheek pads go back in. Hand-wash it in lukewarm water with mild soap and let it air-dry.
Helmet compatibility
Fits the Nexx X.R3R. Nexx does not state on the part page whether the X-Matrix 2 based Speedcore uses the same liner, so please contact us before ordering for that version. For the Golden Edition there is a separate Gold Edition liner.

Take out the washable lining and hand-wash it in lukewarm water. Clean the shell and visor with a soft cloth and water only — never solvents.
