DescriptionThe whole story▼
Standard indicators stick out where a tail tidy is trying to clean up. As an E8-approved aluminium pair LighTech lists the FRE936NER. It is meant to go onto a LighTech holder, not onto the original TENERE 700 bracket.
Key Features
- Listed for the Yamaha TENERE 700
- Usable at the front and at the rear of the TENERE 700
- 120 g
- LED technology, so the current draw is a fraction of a bulb
- 100 % Made in Italy
- Machined aluminium housing
Why Change the Indicators
Everything that hangs off the tail of a TENERE 700 is visible from behind. At 120 g the FRE936NER adds almost nothing where the original was bulky. Sold as a pair, so one order covers one end of the TENERE 700.
Installation
Installation is wiring work rather than mechanical work. Check the polarity before you close everything up — an indicator wired the wrong way round does not light. The original parts go back on the TENERE 700 at any time.
Application
The listing is the TENERE 700, model years 2019 to 2026. It is the mount, not the model, that determines whether it bolts up. If in doubt, compare with the part on the bike rather than with the catalogue line.
LEDs and Your Flasher
There is a detail to settle before the FRE936NER goes on the TENERE 700. LEDs draw a fraction of what a bulb does, so the flasher on some bikes speeds up. For the TENERE 700 LighTech recommends a specific relay or resistor in that case. Order the FRE936NER together with a resistor kit if you would rather not find out the hard way.
What Is in the Box
One pair per order. No brackets are included — on the TENERE 700 they go onto an existing mount or a LighTech holder.
Type Approval
E8 approval applies to the FRE936NER itself. What is approved is the component. How it is mounted on the TENERE 700 is judged on its own. We would rather you asked your inspection body than discovered it at the next test.
