DescriptionThe whole story▼
On a Panigale 1299 the indicators are the cheapest visible thing to change. The LighTech FRE936NER is a pair of aluminium LED indicators, E8 approved, 120 g. LighTech designs these arrows around its own tail tidies.
Key Features
- A universal pair — the fit depends on the mount, not on the model
- 100 % Made in Italy
- Listed for the Ducati Panigale 1299
- A stock LighTech item
- May need a load resistor or an LED flasher relay — see the note below
- Covers the Panigale 1299 across 7 model years (2012 to 2018)
Why Change the Indicators
Everything that hangs off the tail of a Panigale 1299 is visible from behind. LighTech builds the FRE936NER to sit on one of its holders. E8 is a component approval; where and how they are fitted is a separate question.
Application
LighTech catalogues the FRE936NER for the Panigale 1299 (2012 to 2018). The indicator itself is universal; what decides the fit is the bracket or holder it goes on. Have FRE936NER and the model year to hand and the question is settled in one message.
One Electrical Point
LED indicators bring one complication with them. If the Panigale 1299 monitors its indicator circuit, it will read the FRE936NER as a blown bulb until the load is made up. Order the FRE936NER together with a resistor kit if you would rather not find out the hard way.
Fitting
Fitting the FRE936NER is a two-wire connection per side. Check the polarity before you close everything up — an indicator wired the wrong way round does not light. Check it again after the first ride.
What Is in the Box
Two indicators per box. A second pair is needed if you are changing front and rear.
Approval and Road Use
E8 approval applies to the FRE936NER itself. That covers the part, not the installation. Position, spacing and visibility angles are regulated separately and nationally. We would rather you asked your inspection body than discovered it at the next test.
