DescriptionThe whole story▼
Where the BEP01 closes one crankcase opening on the 250SX-F, Accossato's SEP01 covers a second, separate location on the same casing, both listed for this bike's 2011-to-2017 build. Each plug replaces whichever stock part was originally fitted at its own spot on the engine.
Key Features
- Crankcase plug for the KTM 250SX-F, 2011 to 2017
- Accossato code SEP01, fits a separate location on the engine casing
- Available in orange or blue
- Accossato also lists a second crankcase plug, BEP01, for this bike
- Same part also listed for the Husqvarna FC 450 and KTM 350EXC-F and 450SX-F
- No German ABE on file; built for off-road and competition riding
Construction and Material Quality
This plug is built for its own spot on the 250SX-F's casing, separate from where the BEP01 sits, so the two aren't interchangeable with each other. Orange and blue carry no difference beyond looks. A plug sitting proud of the casing, rather than flush, or showing a trace of oil weeping around its edge, has usually started to loosen and is worth attending to.
Two Plugs, One Engine
Running two separate crankcase plugs on the same engine means a full check of this part of the bike really means checking both, not just whichever one happens to be easier to reach. It's a small thing to miss during a quick wipe-down but worth including properly during a service that already has the bike stripped back. Keeping both the BEP01 and the SEP01 on hand saves a second parts order if both turn out to need replacing at once.
Fitment and Compatibility
Per Accossato's own list, the SEP01 fits the 250SX-F across its 2011-to-2017 build. The same plug also covers the Husqvarna FC 450 as well as the KTM 350EXC-F and 450SX-F, part of the wider family built around this engine, so a garage running more than one of these bikes can keep a single spare. Confirming the exact build year against that list before ordering is still worth the extra minute.
Road Approval
No German ABE is on file for the SEP01, so Accossato lists it for off-road and competition use rather than for use on public roads.
Scope of Delivery
