Eine sonst brauchbare Annahme über Ersatzteile bricht bei diesem Luftfilterkasten in sich zusammen. Das feinste Medium, das Sprint Filter herstellt, ist hier nicht das teuerste: Der T12 und das feine P14-Vlies sind zum gleichen Preis gelistet, und beide liegen unter dem Standard-Webelement. Der Preis folgt Material und Herstellung, und keines von beiden verläuft parallel zum Schutz. Das bedeutet, die Reihenfolge, die zählt, muss aus den veröffentlichten Werten abgelesen werden, nicht aus dem Regal.

Warum die Preisreihenfolge nichts aussagt
Für dieses Gehäuse sind vier Medien katalogisiert, und ihre Preise ordnen sich nicht in derselben Reihenfolge wie ihre Filterfeinheit. Dieses Element und der P14 liegen gleichauf, obwohl sie Partikel von halber Größe zurückhalten, und das Renngewebe — das gröbste von allen — ist mit Abstand das teuerste. Ein Käufer, der sich allein an der Preisliste orientiert, käme gleich in zwei Richtungen zum genau falschen Schluss. Die Werte am Medium sind die einzige Reihenfolge, die eine Bedeutung hat.
Die Reihenfolge, die tatsächlich etwas bedeutet
So gelesen ist das Bild klar. Das Standardgewebe filtert bei 80 Mikron und lässt 5.050 Liter pro Quadratmeter und Sekunde durch; diese Matte filtert bei 7 und lässt 560 durch. Etwa ein Neuntel der Rate, dauerhaft aufgegeben, im Tausch gegen das Zurückhalten von Partikeln, die mehr als zehnmal kleiner sind. Das ist ein Tausch und keine Rangfolge: Der T12 ist für Pisten, Sand und bereits von etwas Vorausfahrendem aufgewirbelten Boden konzipiert, und eine auf Asphalt lebende 790 Duke ist mit dem Standardgewebe besser bedient. Leistung fügt keines von beiden hinzu — nichts, was in einen Serien-Luftfilterkasten eingesetzt wird, tut das, und bei der gedrosselten L ist die Obergrenze eine Führerscheinklasse und kein Ansaugteil.
Pflege und Reinigung
Die Wartung des PM175T12 ist trockene Arbeit. Setzen Sie eine Luftdüse an die saubere Seite und führen Sie den Strahl nach außen durch die Matte, damit das Aufgefangene auf der Seite austritt, die es aufgefangen hat. Übersteigt die Ladung, was Luft bewegen kann, erledigen lauwarmes Wasser und etwas mildes Reinigungsmittel den Rest, nachgespült, bis sich nichts mehr löst. Getrocknet wird an bewegter Luft und nichts Schnellerem — Hitze und Flamme zerstören beide die Fasern —, und das Element kommt erst zurück, wenn es vollständig durchgetrocknet und unbehandelt ist. Passgenauigkeit & Kompatibilität
Der T12 für die KTM 790 Duke und 790 Duke L, 2018 bis 2020, im Serien-Luftfilterkasten. Vier Maschinen tragen diesen Code, verbunden durch ein gemeinsames Gehäuse und nicht durch einen gemeinsamen Motor, und dasselbe Gehäuse nimmt drei weitere Sprint-Filter-Medien mit etwas längeren Listen auf. Nennen Sie den Code zusammen mit dem Modelljahr; der Fitment-Tab führt alle vier.
