Der T12 von Sprint Filter ist innerhalb einer Baureihe normalerweise die Ausnahme – das Medium, das für zwei bestimmte Wochen gekauft wird, nicht für ein ganzes Jahr. Bei der 701 Enduro kommt er dem Standard schon näher, und der Katalog sagt das auf die deutlichste ihm mögliche Weise. Das Standardelement für diesen Luftfilterkasten ist für drei Maschinen gelistet, einschließlich der KTM 690, die sich das Gehäuse teilt. PM74T12 ist für zwei gelistet, die 701 Enduro und die 701 Supermoto, und sonst nichts. Eine kurze Fitment-Liste ist kein Versehen; sie kommt einer Empfehlung so nahe, wie es ein Teilekatalog überhaupt vermag.

Sieben Mikron und was sie kosten
Der T12 filtert bei 7 Mikron und lässt 560 Liter pro Quadratmeter und Sekunde durch. Das Standardgewebe im selben Gehäuse filtert bei 80 Mikron und lässt 5.050 durch. Das ist etwa ein Neuntel des Durchflusses, der größte Tausch innerhalb der Baureihe, und er wird bei jeder Fahrt bezahlt, auch bei denen, bei denen überhaupt nichts in der Luft liegt. Dafür bekommt man ein Rückhaltevermögen für einen Anteil, den kein anderes Medium hier erreicht, und bei einer Maschine, die ihre Tage im eigenen Staub und dem anderer verbringt, ist dieser Anteil nicht hypothetisch. Das ist ein Tausch und keine Aufwertung: Der T12 ist kein besserer Filter als das Standardelement, er ist ein Filter für andere Luft.
Was der Durchflusswert ist und was nicht
Beide Werte sind Raten pro Quadratmeter sauberes Material, das heißt, sie vergleichen ausschließlich Medien miteinander und nichts sonst. Die tatsächliche Fläche des Elements ist nicht angegeben, daher lassen sich 560 gegenüber 5.050 nicht in Liter pro Minute an Ihrem Luftfilterkasten umrechnen, und sie lassen sich auch nicht als Anteil an der Motorleistung lesen. Ebenso wenig macht irgendein Element in einem Standardgehäuse eine Standard-701 spürbar stärker. Was die beiden Werte ehrlicherweise stützen, ist eine Wahl zwischen zwei Materialien für dasselbe Gehäuse – und bei einem Motorrad, das als Enduro genutzt wird, ist das feinere öfter als nicht die vertretbare Wahl.
Pflege und Reinigung
Druckluft von der sauberen Seite durch das Element nach außen leiten; bei einem Tiefenmedium ist das wichtiger als sonst, denn in die falsche Richtung geleitete Luft drückt die Beladung nur weiter hinein. Warmes Wasser mit einem milden Reinigungsmittel, sobald Luft nichts mehr bewirkt, danach gründlich spülen. Ausschließlich in bewegter Luft trocknen – niemals mit Heißluftpistole oder Flamme – und sich dafür ausreichend Zeit nehmen, da ein feines Medium Wasser länger hält als ein Gewebe. Passform & Kompatibilität
Für die Husqvarna 701 Enduro, gebaut zwischen 2016 und 2026. Dieser Code deckt zwei Maschinen ab, die 701 Enduro und die 701 Supermoto, beide im Fitment-Tab aufgeführt. Die KTM 690 SMC R / Enduro R teilt sich denselben Luftfilterkasten, ist für den T12 aber nicht gelistet; sie erscheint stattdessen beim Standardelement.
