Was auch immer sonst dafürspricht: Dieses Element ist die eine Ansaugentscheidung an einer Trofeo ACX Scrambler 525, die sich an einem verregneten Nachmittag mit einem Schraubenzieher rückgängig machen lässt. Nichts wird zugeschnitten, nichts umgeleitet, kein Kennfeld geschrieben, und das ausgebaute Teil ist ein Papierelement, das unverändert wieder eingesetzt werden kann. Das sollte man deutlich aussprechen, denn ein Filtermedium wird gegen Bedingungen gewählt, die sich am Ende als die eines anderen herausstellen könnten – der nächsten Saison, oder des nächsten Besitzers.

Bewahren Sie das ausgebaute Element auf
Beschriften Sie das Originalelement mit Datum und Kilometerstand und legen Sie es in einem Beutel ins Regal. Das kostet nichts und erfüllt zwei Zwecke. Es ist die Referenz dafür, wodurch die Maschine ab Werk geatmet hat, und es ist der Weg zurück, falls sich das Fahrprofil ändert und der Durchfluss wichtiger wird als die Rückhaltung. Es gibt einen dritten Grund, der erst später sichtbar wird: Eine Ansaugänderung, die keine Spur hinterlässt, ist auch eine Ansaugänderung, die niemand sehen kann. Eine Zeile im Serviceheft, die den CM251P14 und das Einbaudatum nennt, sorgt dafür, dass der nächste Besitzer eine Spezifikation erbt statt eines Rätsels.
Vierzehn Mikron – und was sie kosten
Je feiner das Medium, desto mehr hält es zurück und desto weniger fließt hindurch. Dieses Verhältnis ist fest und läuft in eine Richtung, sodass 14 Mikron gegenüber den Standard-80 Rückhaltung mit Durchfluss bezahlt, zu etwa einem Drittel der Nenndurchflussrate. Das ist ein Tausch für einen bestimmten Zweck, keine Stufe auf einer Rangleiter. Und die ehrliche Grenze gehört auch hierher: Der Einbau irgendeines Elements in einen serienmäßigen Luftfilterkasten macht eine Trofeo ACX Scrambler nicht spürbar schneller, und ein Medium, das gebaut ist, um mehr zurückzuhalten, wird das am wenigsten versuchen. Was tatsächlich geboten wird, ist ein Ansaugwiderstand, der zwischen den Inspektionen niedrig und stabil bleibt, sowie ein Teil, das gewaschen statt neu gekauft wird.
Pflege und Reinigung
In den meisten Fällen braucht der CM251P14 nur eine Druckluftleitung. Richten Sie sie auf die Seite, die zum Motor zeigt, damit der Schmutz auf demselben Weg hinausgedrückt wird, auf dem er hereinkam, und halten Sie die Düse in Abstand statt direkt am Material. Feuchte, hartnäckige Ablagerungen lösen sich mit lauwarmem Wasser und mildem Reinigungsmittel, gespült, bis es klar abläuft. Danach heißt es Geduld: Es trocknet an der Luft, niemals mit Hitze, niemals in der Nähe einer Flamme, und wird trocken und unbehandelt wieder eingebaut. Das Wartungsblatt finden Sie im Downloads-Tab.
