Wie viel Staub es zurückhält, wie viel Material im Gehäuse gefaltet ist, nach wie vielen Kilometern der Luftstrom messbar abnimmt – nichts davon wird irgendwo veröffentlicht. Das ist ein ungewöhnlicher Einstieg für eine Produktseite. Bei einer Brivido R 500 ist es auch der ehrliche, denn dieses Teil verlangt vom Besitzer, Bedingungen zu beurteilen, keine Spezifikationen.

Die Zahlen, die es gibt, und die, die es nicht gibt
Sprint Filter veröffentlicht durchaus Rückhalteraten, allerdings für seine gewebten Materialien: Das Standard-Straßenelement wird mit 93,13 Prozent bei 100-Mikron-Partikeln angegeben, gegenüber 76,42 Prozent für vierlagige geölte Baumwolle. Für dieses Vlies wurde nichts Vergleichbares veröffentlicht. Die Gewebe-Werte einfach zu übertragen wäre einfach und falsch: Sie wurden an einem anderen Material und einer anderen Partikelgröße gemessen. Also steht die Angabe für sich, und was sie aussagt, ist eine Öffnungsweite und eine Durchflussrate. Das reicht zum Auswählen, und mehr sollte auch nicht behauptet werden.
Wählen ohne Prozentangabe
Die nützliche Frage ist, was die Maschine über ein Jahr hinweg tatsächlich einatmet. Unbefestigte Zufahrten, ein Arbeitsweg hinter langsamem Verkehr in einer Trockenperiode, Baustellen, landwirtschaftlicher Staub im Spätsommer: Das ist der Untergrund, für den dieses Medium ausgelegt wurde, und nichts davon erfordert, den Asphalt zu verlassen. Sieht eine Saison ganz anders aus, ist das Standardelement mit 80 Mikron und 5.050 l/m²/sek die bessere Wahl, und sein Durchfluss kostet nichts. So oder so macht kein Element in einem Serien-Luftfilterkasten eine serienmäßige Brivido R spürbar stärker. Der Gewinn ist ein stabiler, niedriger Ansaugwiderstand und ein Filter, der gewartet statt nachbestellt wird.
Pflege und Reinigung
Die Wartung ist eher eine Gewohnheit als ein Termin im Kalender. Nach einer staubigen Fahrt heben Sie das Element heraus, sehen es sich an und blasen es von der sauberen Seite nach außen durch, wobei die Luftleitung weit genug entfernt gehalten wird, um das Material nicht zu verformen. Eine fettige Ablagerung verlangt nach lauwarmem Wasser und etwas Haushaltsreiniger, gespült, bis das Wasser klar abläuft. Lufttrocknung ist die einzig zulässige Methode – ein Fön, ein Ofen oder eine Flamme zerstören es –, und es kommt trocken zurück, ohne Öl, Spray oder Behandlung. Passform & Kompatibilität
