Die RC 390 R ist für die geschlossene Rennstrecke gebaut, und eine Rennstrecke ist die eine Umgebung, die zuverlässig saubere Luft liefert: gefegter Asphalt, kein landwirtschaftlicher Verkehr, kein Schotterrand, kein trockener Seitenwind von einem Feld. Der P14 ist Sprint Filters Antwort auf Staub. Bauen Sie den PM200P14 in eine Maschine ein, die nur je einen Rennstreckenbelag sieht, und Sie haben Durchfluss für eine Gefahr bezahlt, die dort nicht existiert. Es gibt gute Gründe, dieses Element für eine RC 390 R zu besitzen, und die Rennstrecke gehört nicht dazu.

Wenn es doch das richtige Element ist
Viele dieser Maschinen sind nicht ausschließlich für die Rennstrecke da. Manche werden auf der Straße gefahren, manche werden auf staubigen Zufahrtswegen zum Rennen transportiert und zwischen den Terminen in einer Scheune gelagert, und manche verbringen ihre Winter in Luft, die ein Rennstreckenbelag nie erzeugt. Das Medium sollte danach gewählt werden, wo der Filter atmet, und das ist nicht immer dort, wo das Motorrad seine Rundenzeiten fährt. Ist trockene, griffige Luft Teil des Bildes, verdient sich das feinere Vlies seinen Platz — und der Rückwechsel ist ein Element und ein paar Minuten.
Zwei Dinge, die man klar aussprechen sollte
Erstens lässt dieses Element weniger Luft durch als der P08 und deutlich weniger als der F1-85, und bei einer Maschine, die anhaltend mit hoher Drehzahl gefahren wird, ist das das falsche Ende der Bandbreite. Zweitens macht kein Filter, in keinem Medium, ein Serienmotorrad spürbar leistungsstärker. Ein Einsatzfilter hält den Ansaugwiderstand niedrig und verhindert, dass er zwischen den Wartungen steigt; das ist die ehrliche Beschreibung, und sie gilt gleichermaßen für das Element, das wir stattdessen empfehlen würden.
Pflege und Reinigung
Zwischen den Einsätzen braucht der PM200P14 einen Kompressor und eine Minute: Luft auf die saubere Seite, durch das Medium nach außen geführt, sodass der Staub über den Weg abgeht, auf dem er kam. Eine gründliche Wäsche nutzt lauwarmes Wasser und mildes Reinigungsmittel, gespült, bis das Wasser klar abläuft, und anschließend vollständiges Trocknen an offener Luft, ohne Hitze und ohne Flamme in der Nähe. Passform & Kompatibilität
Gefertigt für die KTM RC 390 R, 2022 bis 2026, in der Serien-Airbox. Derselbe Code ist für elf KTM- und Husqvarna-Maschinen gelistet, Straßenmodelle eingeschlossen, weshalb das Baujahr ebenso zählt wie der Modellname. Der Fitment-Tab listet sie.
