Das ist derselbe Luftfilterkasten wie beim Standardelement der 321RR, nur mit einem anderen Material bestückt und auf ein anderes Problem ausgerichtet. Nicht jede 321RR lebt auf befestigtem Asphalt. Viele von ihnen sind die schnelle, günstige Art, Strecke zurückzulegen an Orten, wo die Straße einen losen Seitenstreifen hat, wo landwirtschaftlicher Verkehr im Sommer einen Film über die Fahrbahn zieht oder wo das letzte Stück nach Hause über Schotter führt. Das P14 existiert für diesen Fahrer, und die Spezifikation ist ehrlich darüber, was es kostet.

Den Tausch ehrlich lesen
Das Standard-P08-Gewebe an dieser Maschine schließt bei 80 Mikron und ist mit 5.050 l/m²/sek Materialdurchfluss bewertet. Diese Matte schließt bei 14 und ist mit 1.800 bewertet. Feineres Gewebe, mehr zurückgehalten, weniger durchgelassen – diese drei bewegen sich gemeinsam und werden es immer tun. Der richtige Umgang mit diesen Zahlen besteht darin, zu entscheiden, auf welcher Seite davon Ihre Fahrweise liegt, nicht darin, ein Medium über das andere zu stellen. Eine 321RR, die meist hart auf sauberem Untergrund gefahren wird, ist mit dem gröberen Gewebe besser bedient. Eine 321RR, die beruflich Staub frisst, nicht.
Was feiner Staub bewirkt, was grober nicht kann
Sichtbarer Staub setzt sich hinter dem Fahrzeug ab, das ihn aufgewirbelt hat. Der Anteil, auf den es hier ankommt, ist der Teil, der noch lange danach in der Luft schwebt, klein genug, um durch ein offenes Gewebe zu gelangen und dorthin zu gehen, wohin die Luft geht. Er erreicht die Ansaugung in Mengen, die niemand bemerkt, weil es nichts zu bemerken gibt, bis ein Service es offenlegt. Eine 14-Mikron-Matte zielt genau auf diesen Anteil, und weil sie trocken ist, gibt es keinen Ölfilm, über den aufgefangene Partikel später weitertransportiert werden könnten. Was das alles nicht tut, ist Leistung hinzuzufügen: Ein Element in einem Serien-Luftfilterkasten hat noch nie ein Serienmotorrad spürbar schneller gemacht, und dieses hier erhebt keinen solchen Anspruch. Es hält den Ansaugwiderstand niedrig und zwischen den Reinigungen vorhersehbar, und es hält das Feine vom Motor fern.
Pflege und Reinigung
Ein Staubfilter verdient sich seinen Nutzen durch häufiges Reinigen, machen Sie es sich also leicht: zuerst der Luftstrahl, immer an der sauberen Seite angesetzt und nach außen geblasen, damit die Belastung denselben Weg verlässt, auf dem sie hereinkam. Hat eine Saison auf trockenen Straßen die Matte stärker zugesetzt, als Luft lösen kann, stellen warmes Wasser und ein mildes Reinigungsmittel mit gründlichem Spülen sie wieder her. Das PM242P14 ausschließlich an offener Luft trocknen – keine Wärmequelle, keine Flamme – und trocken sowie ungeölt wieder einsetzen. Das Wartungsblatt finden Sie im Downloads-Tab.
Passform & Kompatibilität
Für die Kove 321RR der Jahre 2021 bis 2026. Die NK321R desselben Zeitraums verwendet dasselbe Element, sodass sich zwei Maschinen diese Teilenummer teilen; der Fitment-Tab zeigt beide.
