Design, Verarbeitung und Erbe
Die Geschichte von Sprint Filter beginnt vor mehr als sechs Jahrzehnten in Italien, und dieses Erbe ist in jede Faser des P08F1-85 eingeschrieben. Das offene Polyestergewebe besitzt eine charakteristische optische Identität — klar, zweckmäßig und sofort erkennbar von den gefalteten Papierelementen unterscheidbar, die es ersetzt. Wo ein Standardfilter Kosten über Durchfluss stellt, steht die F1-85-Spezifikation für eine bewusste konstruktive Entscheidung: ein anderes Gewebe – die 85 ist Teil des Namens, keine Porengröße –, das den Luftstrom drastisch erhöht und dabei sogar etwas mehr der Partikel abfängt, die Motorverschleiß verursachen, als der Standard-P08 (95,22 % der 100-Mikron-Partikel gegenüber 93,13 %). Der Einbau erfolgt als direkter Ersatz — Kennfeldänderungen sind nicht zwingend erforderlich, wobei Fahrer mit einer Nachrüst-Auspuffanlage feststellen werden, dass die verbesserte Luftzufuhr im Zusammenspiel mit einem vollständigen Tuning besonders gut funktioniert.
Die Wartung ist erfreulich unkompliziert: keine unordentlichen Nachölsets, keine Trockenzeit, keine Spezialreinigungsflüssigkeiten. Filter entnehmen, Druckluft von der sauberen Seite nach außen anwenden, wieder einbauen.
