Zwei Zahlen beschreiben dieses Element, und sie lassen sich leicht in der falschen Richtung lesen. Die Filterung wird mit 80 Mikron angegeben; der Durchfluss mit 5.050 Litern pro Quadratmeter und Sekunde. Die zweite Zahl ist eine Rate pro Flächeneinheit, kein Gesamtwert – das bedeutet, wie viel Luft ein Element durchlässt, hängt ebenso davon ab, wie viel Fläche es hat, wie davon, wie offen das Gewebe ist. Diese Unterscheidung ist das gesamte Konzept des P08, und bei einer ZT 155G, die mittig in einer Fitment-Liste von 125 bis 200 cm³ steht, ist das der Teil, den man vor allem anderen verstehen sollte.

Fläche, nicht Öffnung
Es gibt zwei Wege, mehr Luft durch einen Filter zu bewegen. Sie können die Löcher öffnen, was in demselben Zug Rückhaltevermögen kostet und in jeder Sekunde gilt, in der der Motor läuft. Oder Sie geben der Luft mehr Fläche zum Durchqueren, was bei der Filterung nichts kostet und sich nur als größeres Stück Gewebe zeigt. Sprint Filter hat den zweiten Weg gewählt, weshalb ein Medium, das 93,13 % der 100-Mikron-Partikel zurückhält, dennoch in einem kleinen Gehäuse frei durchströmt wird. Das erklärt auch, warum der Maschenwert und der Faserwert niemals verwechselt werden dürfen: 80 µm beschreiben die Lücken, 22 µm die sie umgebenden Fäden.
Was das auf der Straße bringt
Keine Leistung. Eine 155er mit serienmäßigem Auspuff, serienmäßigen Nockenwellen und serienmäßiger Abstimmung wird nicht von ihrem Luftfilter begrenzt, und der SM276S wird keinen einzigen Wert der Typgenehmigung verändern. Der Gewinn liegt darin, wie sich der Widerstand über die Zeit verhält. Jedes Gramm, das das Gewebe sammelt, verteilt sich auf die doppelte Fläche, sodass dieselbe Ablagerung dünner liegt und weit länger braucht, um zum Widerstand zu werden – und wenn es so weit ist, bringt eine Druckluftleitung sie zurück zum Anfang. Papier bewegt sich nur in eine Richtung, und der Kilometerzähler ist dafür ebenfalls keine verlässliche Uhr: Es ist das Volumen der durchgesetzten Luft, nicht die zurückgelegte Strecke, das einen Filter altern lässt.
Pflege und Reinigung
Führen Sie Druckluft von der sauberen Seite nach außen, bis das Gewebe sauber ist; das ist der Standard-Service und kann beliebig oft wiederholt werden. Bei öligen oder klebrigen Ablagerungen löst lauwarmes Wasser mit mildem Reinigungsmittel diese – spülen Sie, bis nichts mehr abgeht, und lassen Sie das Element vollständig an der Luft trocknen. Keine Hitze, keine Flamme, kein Wiedereinbau im feuchten Zustand, und nichts wird nachträglich auf das Gewebe aufgetragen. Das Wartungsblatt für den SM276S finden Sie im Downloads-Tab.

Für die Zontes ZT 155G, 2020 bis 2026. Der hinter diesem Code stehende Luftfilterkasten ist in sechs Zontes-Modellen über drei Hubraumklassen verbaut, bestellen Sie das Element daher nach Code und Baujahr statt nach Modellname.
