Jeder Einsteckfilter wird mit den Worten „kein Remapping nötig" verkauft, und die meisten lesen das als Komfort. Andersherum gelesen sagen sie etwas Nützlicheres: Die Veränderung ist klein genug, dass die Kraftstoffzufuhr nicht davon erfahren muss. Bei einer zwischen 2013 und 2016 gebauten Street Triple ist das genau die Größenordnung an Veränderung, die sich lohnt. Der Sprint Filter PM143S ist ein trockenes, gewebtes Polyester-Element, das in den Serien-Luftfilterkasten eingesetzt wird, den Serien-Deckel und den Serien-Kanal beibehält und das Kennfeld exakt so lässt, wie Triumph es geschrieben hat.
Wichtige Merkmale

- Der Serien-Luftfilterkasten gewinnt etwa doppelt so große Filterfläche wie andere Sportfilter
- Keine Modifikation am Luftfilterkasten, kein Remapping, kein Papierkram – ein direkter Ersatz und nichts weiter
- Waschbar und wiederverwendbar; Sprint Filter legt ihn auf die gesamte Lebensdauer des Motorrads aus und gewährt zwei Jahre Garantie ab Kaufdatum
Warum man das Steuergerät bei einem abgelösten Modell besser in Ruhe lässt
Die 675 Street Triple wurde 2016 aus dem aktuellen Programm genommen, und der Support für ein abgelöstes Modell dünnt sich leise aus statt auf einmal: weniger Händler mit noch installierter Software, weniger Leute, die sich an die Eigenheiten erinnern, längere Wartezeiten, wenn etwas geprüft werden muss. Jede Veränderung, die eine Anpassung der Kraftstoffzufuhr verlangt, fügt etwas hinzu, das später wieder entwirrt werden muss, und eine weitere Variable, wenn ein Fehler auftaucht, der gar nichts damit zu tun hat. Ein Element, das ein reiner Tausch ist, fügt keine hinzu. Das ist bei einem Motorrad dieses Alters mehr wert als jede Behauptung, die ein Remapping gebraucht hätte, um standzuhalten.
Die ehrliche Grenze dessen, was ein Filter leisten kann
Ein Filter kann nichts zurückgeben außer dem Widerstand, den er selbst verursacht. Die Spitzenleistung eines Serienmotors wird von den Nockenwellen, dem Auspuff und dem Kennfeld bestimmt, und kein Element im Serien-Luftfilterkasten wird sie so verändern, dass Sie es am Gasgriff spüren würden. Was der P08 stattdessen bietet, ist ein niedriger Ausgangswiderstand, etwa doppelt so große Filterfläche auf demselben Raum, und die Tatsache, dass der Wert, mit dem er startet, der Wert ist, auf den er zurückgereinigt wird, statt einer, der zwischen den Services davondriftet.
Pflege und Reinigung
Zehn Minuten mit einer Druckluftpistole bringen den PM143S zurück zum Ausgangswert: Druckluft auf der sauberen Seite, durch das Element nach außen geführt. Nach einer harten Saison hat er stattdessen eine Wäsche verdient – lauwarmes Wasser, ein mildes Reinigungsmittel, gespült, bis das Wasser klar bleibt. Das Trocknen übernimmt die frische Luft, nie Hitze und nie eine Flamme, und das Element wird trocken wieder eingebaut, ohne Ölschritt. Das Wartungsblatt finden Sie im Downloads-Tab.
Passform & Kompatibilität
Gefertigt für die Triumph Street Triple 675, 2013–2016.
