Eine neue CB650R braucht dieses Element am Tag der Auslieferung nicht. Das Papierpanel, das Honda einbaut, erfüllt seine Aufgabe und wird das weiterhin tun, bis der Wartungsplan etwas anderes vorschreibt. Der Moment, der sich im Serviceheft zu markieren lohnt, ist der, an dem dieses Panel ohnehin herausgenommen und entsorgt würde: Bei diesem Service ist der Luftfilterkasten bereits offen, die Arbeitszeit wird bereits bezahlt, und die einzige verbleibende Frage ist, was wieder hineinkommt. Setzen Sie dort den Sprint Filter P08 ein, kostet das nichts über die ohnehin gebuchte Arbeit hinaus – und es ist das letzte Mal, dass dieser Posten im Wartungsplan mit einem Kauf endet.

Der Service, bei dem die Entscheidung tatsächlich fällt
Nichts daran ist dringend, und genau das ist der Punkt. Es gibt keinen Grund, einen Luftfilterkasten vorzeitig zu öffnen für ein Teil, das keine Leistung hinzufügt – ein Mittelklasse-Vierzylinder gewinnt nichts Messbares durch einen Filter. Was er bietet, ist Timing. Während geplanter Arbeiten eingebaut, verschwindet er in einem Auftrag, den Sie ohnehin schon ausführen ließen, und von da an wird das Element geprüft und gereinigt statt bestellt und ersetzt. Der einzige Fall für ein früheres Vorgehen ist eine gebrauchte CB650R, deren Historie Sie nicht kennen.
Wie der Wartungsplan danach aussieht
Ab diesem Service hört dieser Posten auf, ein Ersatzteil auf einer Bestellliste zu sein, und wird zu einer Aufgabe. Element herausnehmen, gegen das Licht halten, reinigen, am selben Nachmittag wieder einsetzen. Es gibt nichts vorzuhalten und nichts vorzubestellen, sodass die Arbeit nicht mehr davon abhängt, ob eine Theke das Teil in dieser Woche vorrätig hat. Sprint Filter baut den P08 so, dass er beim Motorrad bleibt, statt von ihm verbraucht zu werden, sodass eine kleine wiederkehrende Rechnung zu einer kurzen wiederkehrenden Entscheidung wird: diesmal nur Luft, oder Luft und eine Wäsche.
Pflege und Reinigung
Druckluft, an die saubere Seite gehalten und nach außen gedrückt, ist das, was der PM201S die meiste Zeit braucht. Wenn eine nasse oder splittreiche Saison mehr hinterlassen hat, als Luft allein bewegen kann, in lauwarmem Wasser mit einem milden Spülmittel waschen und spülen, bis das Wasser klar abläuft. Danach an offener Luft von selbst trocknen lassen: keine Heißluftpistole, kein Heizkörper, keine Flamme in der Nähe, denn das Medium ist Polyester, und Hitze ist es, was es zerstört. Es wird trocken wieder eingesetzt, ohne dass etwas aufgesprüht wird. Sprint Filters Wartungsblatt liegt im Downloads-Tab.
