Eine CB150R verdient sich ihren Unterhalt, indem sie gefahren wird, an den meisten Tagen, meist auf kurzen Strecken, oft im so dichten Verkehr, dass die Luft, die sie atmet, größtenteils von anderen stammt. Diese Art der Nutzung belohnt Wartung, die vor allem einfach ist, weit mehr als Wartung, die clever ist, und hier hilft das Motorrad mit. Bei einem Neo-Sports-Cafe-Einzylinder wird nichts von der Arbeit versteckt: Rahmen und Motor sind bewusst offen zu sehen, es gibt keine Verkleidung zum Abklipsen und keine Reihe von Verkleidungsteilen, die man im Blick behalten muss, sodass der Weg zum Luftfilterkasten eine kurze Aufgabe ist statt eines ganzen Nachmittags. Ein Element, das man in wenigen Minuten prüfen kann, ist ein Element, das auch tatsächlich geprüft wird, und der Sprint Filter P08 SM219S ist genau für diesen Rhythmus gebaut, gereinigt und wieder eingebaut statt bestellt und weggeworfen.

Die Wartung, die nichts kostet, ist die Wartung, die auch stattfindet
Jedes Papierelement trägt eine kleine Steuer, bevor überhaupt Werkzeug zum Einsatz kommt: eine Nummer nachschlagen, eine Bestellung aufgeben, warten, und die ständige Versuchung, es noch einen Monat zu belassen, weil der Ersatz noch nicht angekommen ist. Nimmt man den Kauf aus der Gleichung, schrumpft das Intervall auf das, was ein Kompressor und zehn Minuten erlauben. Bei einer Maschine, die täglich in städtischer Luft bewegt wird, ist das mehr wert als jede einzelne Zeile auf einem Datenblatt, denn der Filter, der einen Motor am besten schützt, ist schlicht der, den niemand vor sich herschiebt.
Trocken, und daher wiederholbar
Weil der P08 nie geölt wird, ist der Wiedereinbau ein eindeutiger, planbarer Vorgang. Es gibt keine Ölmenge zu beurteilen, keinen überölten Fleck zu tupfen und keinen Film, der sich seinen Weg zu einem Luftsensor oder einer Drosselklappe bahnen könnte, während man eigentlich nur helfen wollte. Das Medium filtert im sauberen Zustand bei 80 Mikron und lässt 5.050 l/m²/sek durch, und Druckluft von der sauberen Seite bringt es wieder nahe an diese Werte, statt es nur oberflächlich aufzufrischen. Sprint Filter legt den P08 auf die Lebensdauer des Motorrads aus, sodass dasselbe Element Jahr für Jahr wieder eingebaut wird.
Pflege und Reinigung
Ein Kompressor und ein paar Minuten übrig: saubere Seite, nach außen blasen, und der SM219S ist bereit für den Wiedereinbau. Wenn er die vollständige Behandlung braucht, in lauwarmem Wasser mit einem milden Reinigungsmittel waschen und spülen, bis das Wasser klar bleibt, dann ausschließlich an der Luft trocknen lassen – keine Hitze, keine Flamme. Er wird trocken wieder eingebaut. Zu keinem Zeitpunkt wird geölt, weshalb die Arbeit kurz bleibt. Das Wartungsblatt finden Sie im Reiter „Downloads".
