Honda baut die CB1300F seit 2003. Dreiundzwanzig Modelljahre sind für ein Motorrad eine lange Zeit, mit einem Nebeneffekt, den niemand einplant: Ein Modell, das so lange in Produktion ist, sammelt Ersatzteile aus allen Richtungen an. Verpackt und unverpackt, mit Markenzeichen und anonym, alle zugeschnitten, um in denselben Luftfilterkasten zu passen. Die Passform ist jedoch das Uninteressanteste, was ein Filter leisten kann. Was ein Element vom nächsten unterscheidet, ist das Medium – woraus es besteht, wie fein es ist, wie viel Luft es durchlässt –, und das sollten Sie nachlesen können, nicht von einem Foto erraten müssen.
Wichtige Merkmale
- Gewebtes Polyester in einer einzigen trockenen Lage; es wird kein Öl verwendet, sodass nichts weiter in den Ansaugtrakt getragen werden kann
- Filterung von 80 µm bei einem Nenndurchfluss von 5.050 l/m²/sek – Sprint Filters Standardmedium für Straße und Rennstrecke
- Fäden ab ø 22 Mikron aufwärts, die Öffnungen entstehen durch das Gewebe statt durch gepresste Fasern
- Rund doppelt so viel wirksame Fläche wie bei den meisten Sportluftfiltern gleicher Größe
- Passt anstelle des Papierelements in den Serien-Luftfilterkasten; kein Eingriff am Gehäuse, keine neue Abstimmung nötig
- Waschbar, wiederverwendbar und mit zwei Jahren Sprint-Filter-Garantie abgesichert
Zahlen statt Adjektive
Sprint Filter veröffentlicht, was der P08 leistet, was ihn überprüfbar macht. In Vergleichstests hielt das Medium 93,13 Prozent der 100-Mikron-Partikel zurück, gegenüber 76,42 Prozent bei einem vierlagigen, ölgetränkten Baumwollelement. Der Wert von 80 µm steht neben einem Durchfluss von 5.050 l/m²/sek, und beide gehören zusammen: Ein feineres Gewebe hält mehr zurück und lässt weniger durch, ein gröberes verhält sich umgekehrt. Das ist ein Tausch, keine Rangfolge. Der P08 liegt dort, wo eine straßenzugelassene CB1300F tatsächlich betrieben wird, weshalb er die Standardwahl ist – und nicht das feinste Medium im Programm oder das mit dem größten Durchfluss.
Was Sie beim Kauf eines Gebrauchten übernehmen
Die meisten CB1300F auf der Straße hatten mehr als einen Besitzer, und im Luftfilterkasten sammeln sich diese Entscheidungen an. Welches Element gerade darin sitzt, war die Wahl von jemand anderem, aus Gründen, die Sie nie erfahren werden. Der Austausch ist der Punkt, an dem das endet. Von da an ist das Element im Gehäuse eine bekannte Größe mit festgelegter Spezifikation, und jede Wartung wird zur Kontrolle desselben Teils statt zu neuem Vertrauen in das, was gerade im Regal einer Theke lag. Das ist bei einer Maschine von 2004 genauso viel wert wie bei einer vom letzten Jahr.
Pflege und Reinigung
Beim CM101S erledigt Druckluft den größten Teil der Arbeit: an die saubere Seite halten und nach außen blasen, sodass der Staub über die Seite verschwindet, auf der er sich abgesetzt hat. Reicht Luft allein nicht aus, helfen lauwarmes Wasser und ein mildes Spülmittel, anschließend spülen, bis das Wasser klar bleibt. Lassen Sie ihn von selbst in bewegter Luft trocknen. Hitze zerstört dieses Medium, halten Sie es also von Heißluftpistolen, Heizkörpern und offenen Flammen fern, und bauen Sie es trocken und unbehandelt wieder ein. Passform & Kompatibilität
Zugeschnitten auf den Luftfilterkasten der Honda CB1300F, gebaut von 2003 bis 2026. Zwei weitere Maschinen nutzen dasselbe Element: die luftgekühlte CB1100 von 2013 bis 2017 und die CB1300 Super Four von 2001 bis 2005, insgesamt drei. Siehe den Fitment-Tab.
