Zwei verschiedene Motorräder trugen bereits den Namen Streetfighter V2. Ducati nutzte ihn ab 2022 für die Maschine rund um den 955-Superquadro-Motor und erneut ab 2025 für die auf dem 890-V2-Motor basierende — und beide sind aktuell genug, dass ein Katalog sie auseinanderhalten muss. Sprint Filter tut das auf die einzige Art, die funktioniert: separate Teilenummern für separate Gehäuse, mit PM127S für den 955er und dem hier gelisteten PM279S für den 890er. Einen Luftfilter für dieses Motorrad zu bestellen, ist deshalb eine Frage an den Fahrzeugschein, nicht an das Emblem am Tank.

Das Gehäuse entscheidet, nicht das Emblem
Ein Filter wird durch den Kasten definiert, in den er abdichtet, weshalb hier eine Teilenummer sechs Maschinen abdeckt, die sonst fast nichts gemeinsam haben. Eine Enduro, eine Supermoto, eine Naked, eine Tourer und zwei Sportmodelle stehen zusammen auf diesem Angebot, weil Ducati sie um einen Motor und einen Luftfilterkasten herum gebaut hat — und aus demselben Grund führt ein von einem älteren Motor übernommener Name zu einer völlig anderen Teilenummer. Die Bestellregel, die sich aus beiden Tatsachen ergibt, ist eine einzige: erst das Baujahr abgleichen, dann das Modell, und das Emblem zuletzt.
Was tatsächlich im Rahmen steckt
Innen liegt eine auf 80 µm gewebte Polyesterlage, trocken verwendet, mit annähernd doppelt so viel Gewebe wie andere Performance-Elemente, damit der Nennwert von 5.050 l/m²/sek genug Fläche hat, um darüber zu arbeiten. Sprint Filters eigene Vergleichsmessungen setzen das trockene Medium bei 93,13 Prozent Rückhalt von 100-Mikron-Partikeln an, gegenüber 76,42 Prozent bei vierlagiger geölter Baumwolle. Nichts davon macht das Motorrad stärker — kein Element in einem serienmäßigen Gehäuse tut das —, aber es bedeutet, dass der Ansaugwiderstand, mit dem man startet, einer ist, zu dem man immer wieder zurückkehren kann.
Pflege und Reinigung
Druckluft erledigt die reguläre Arbeit: auf die stromabwärts liegende Seite richten und die Zuladung nach vorn zurückdrücken, statt sie tiefer ins Gewebe zu treiben. Reicht Luft nicht aus, erledigen warmes Wasser mit mildem Reinigungsmittel und geduldiges Spülen den Rest, und das Element kommt erst zurück, wenn es vollständig durchgetrocknet ist. Getrocknet wird bei Raumtemperatur und nirgendwo in der Nähe einer Wärmequelle oder Flamme, denn Hitze zerstört das Polyester. Das Wartungsblatt liegt im Bereich Downloads.

Gebaut für die Ducati Streetfighter V2 der Baujahre 2025 und 2026, das 890-V2-Modell. Sechs Maschinen in Ducatis aktueller V2-Baureihe nehmen dasselbe Element; das eigene Modelljahr vor der Bestellung im Reiter Fitment bestätigen.
