Der Papierfilter in den meisten Motorrädern ist ein Teil, von dem man hört, statt eines, das man sich ansieht: Er taucht im Wartungsplan auf, wird von jemand anderem getauscht, und sein Zustand zwischen diesen Terminen ist Vertrauenssache. Die Monster V2 ist auf dieser Plattform am ehesten das einzige Motorrad von jemandem, gefahren über ganze Jahre statt nur Saisons, was die Vertrauensfrage zu einer langen macht. Ein waschbares Element beantwortet sie anders. Den PM279S herauszunehmen, zu prüfen und wieder einzusetzen, verbraucht überhaupt nichts, also gibt es keinen Grund mehr, den Deckel des Luftfilterkastens geschlossen zu lassen.

- Polyesterfäden ab ø 22 Mikrometer; die Zahl, die filtert, ist das Maschengewebe, nicht der Faden
- Annähernd doppelte Filterfläche anderer Performance-Filter, untergebracht im Original-Rahmen
- Passt in den serienmäßigen Luftfilterkasten wie das Papier-Element, ohne Modifikation und ohne Remapping
- Gereinigt und wiederverwendet für die Lebensdauer des Motorrads, mit zwei Jahren Garantie ab Kauf
Ein Teil mit Referenzzustand
Was die Prüfung lohnenswert macht, ist, dass dieses Element einen Zustand hat, zu dem es zurückkehrt. Druckluft bringt es zurück in den Zustand, in dem es neu war, sodass das, was man auf dem Gewebe sieht, die Zuladung seit der letzten Reinigung ist und nichts Älteres. Ein Papier-Element bietet keine solche Basis: Es bewegt sich nur in eine Richtung, und sein bester Tag ist der erste. Über die Jahre, die eine Monster typischerweise behalten wird, wird aus diesem Unterschied eine Pflegegewohnheit statt eines Werkstatttermins.
Trocken, und warum das hier wichtig ist
Das Medium kommt trocken an und wird trocken verwendet, sodass vor den Drosselklappen nichts sitzt, das auf die Sensoren eines stark instrumentierten modernen Twins wandern könnte, und nichts nach einer Wäsche korrekt neu aufgetragen werden muss. Man sollte klar sagen: Nichts davon zeigt sich als Pferdestärke. Ein Element in einem serienmäßigen Gehäuse macht eine serienmäßige Monster V2 nicht spürbar stärker, weil der gesamte Ansaugweg als ein Design abgenommen wurde. Was es tut, ist, den Widerstand des Filters selbst niedrig zu halten und ihn dorthin zurückzubringen, wann immer man möchte.
Pflege und Reinigung
Die meisten Wartungen brauchen eine Luftleitung und zwei Minuten: das Element von seiner sauberen Seite nach außen durchblasen, über die gesamte Fläche arbeitend statt an einer Stelle. Einmal im Jahr, oder nach einem Winter mit Salz und Feuchtigkeit, in warmem Wasser mit mildem Reinigungsmittel waschen, bis das ablaufende Wasser klar ist. Vollständig an ruhiger, offener Luft trocknen lassen — nie über einem Heizgerät, nie mit einer Flamme — und trocken einbauen, ohne irgendetwas aufzusprühen. Passform & Kompatibilität
Gebaut für die Ducati Monster V2 von 2026 als direkter Ersatz im Serien-Luftfilterkasten. Sechs Ducatis rund um den 890-V2-Motor nehmen dieselbe Teilenummer; die Modelljahre für jede sind im Reiter Fitment aufgeführt.
