Dieses Element hat eine Eigenschaft, die an einem Trackday mehr zählt als jede Zahl auf dem Datenblatt: Es ist trocken. Nichts wird geölt, also muss nichts nachgeölt werden, und nichts muss aushärten, bevor das Motorrad wieder auf die Strecke geht. Eine staubige Session lässt sich in der Box mit Druckluft beantworten, und dasselbe Element ist sofort wieder einsatzbereit – anders als bei einem Medium, das für seine Filterwirkung auf einen Ölfilm angewiesen ist.

Warum trocken zwischen den Sessions zählt
Ein geöltes Baumwollelement, das gewaschen wurde, braucht gleichmäßig aufgetragenes Öl und danach Zeit, sich zu verteilen, bevor es wie vorgesehen filtert – und ein Fahrer, dem beides fehlt, baut es trotzdem ein. Der Fehlerfall ist unauffällig: an manchen Stellen zu wenig Öl, an anderen zu viel, und Öl dort, wo es nicht hingehört. Ein trockenes Gewebe kennt diese Abfolge nicht. Luft, bei Bedarf Wasser, bewegte Luft bis trocken, wieder einsetzen. Die Routine ist kurz genug, um zwischen zwei Sessions zu passen, und enthält keinen Schritt, der unter Zeitdruck schiefgehen kann.
Der Rest des Bildes
Das Medium selbst erreicht im 100-Mikron-Test eine Rückhaltung von 95,22 %, gegenüber 93,13 % beim Standardgewebe im selben Gehäuse – ein echter, aber kleiner Unterschied. Der Durchflusswert darüber ist eine Eigenschaft des Materials und keine Prognose für einen 310-cm³-Einzylinder, der sich diesem Wert nicht einmal annähern wird. In einem unveränderten Luftfilterkasten lässt der PM189S F1-85 eine serienmäßige Apache RR310 genau so stark, wie sie war; was der Besitzer bekommt, ist ein niedrigerer, stabilerer Ansaugwiderstand und ein Teil, das so oft gereinigt werden kann, wie es der Einsatz erfordert.
Pflege und Reinigung
Druckluft an der sauberen Seite, nach außen geführt, deckt die reguläre Wartung und die meisten Reinigungen an der Strecke ab. Lauwarmes Wasser mit einem milden Reinigungsmittel ist für das Ende eines schmutzigen Wochenendes gedacht, gespült bis das Wasser klar abläuft. Anschließend bewegte Luft bei Raumtemperatur, bis das Element wirklich trocken ist – jede Wärmequelle ist ausgeschlossen, da sie das Gewebe beschädigt, ohne es zu zeigen. Gebaut für die TVS Apache RR310 von 2018–2026, passend im Serien-Luftfilterkasten ohne Änderung. Dieser Code deckt drei Modelle ab, die RR310 zusammen mit der BMW G 310 GS und G 310 R von 2017–2026. Bestätigen Sie Ihr Baujahr im Fitment-Tab.
