Verarbeitungsqualität und Materialien
Titan ist hier die bestimmende Materialwahl, und Spark setzt es kompromisslos ein. Der Titan-Krümmer d.65 wird gezogen und geformt, um die Spülimpulse des Vierzylinders der ZX-10 R/RR zu optimieren, während die Wandstärke auf das für Streckenhaltbarkeit nötige Minimum reduziert ist — das Ergebnis ist ein Krümmer, der nur einen Bruchteil eines Stahl-Pendants wiegt und dennoch anhaltender Hitze im hohen Drehzahlbereich standhält, ohne dass Verformung oder eine die Struktur beeinträchtigende Anlassfärbung auftritt.
Der Grid-O-Endschalldämpfer besteht vom Einlasskonus bis zur Endkappe durchgehend aus Titan, was für thermische Stabilität sorgt und der Oberflächenverfärbung und Korrosion widersteht, die minderwertigen Legierungen bei Nässe oder Salzeinwirkung zusetzen. Mit entferntem dB-Killer erzeugt das System ca. 105 dB bei 5.500 U/min — einen tiefen, zielgerichteten Klang, der auf der Rennstrecke Aufmerksamkeit erregt, ohne die künstliche Schärfe mancher Nachrüstsysteme. Mit eingesetztem dB-Killer ist der Klang für den Straßeneinsatz in den meisten Rechtsordnungen ausreichend gedämpft.
