Dieselbe Sieben-Kilo-2-in-2-Anlage, vom Krümmer bis zum Austritt schwarz keramisiert. An einer T120 — einem Motorrad, das Triumph um Chrom, polierte Deckel und viel helles Metall herum baut — ist eine durchgehend geschwärzte Anlage die größte optische Änderung, die es überhaupt gibt.

Die ganze Anlage, nicht nur die Töpfe
Das ist der Unterschied zwischen dem Schwärzen einer T120 und dem einer Street Twin. Am kleineren Motorrad ändern sich nur die Dämpfer; hier wird auch der Krümmer dunkel — und an einer Bonneville ist der Krümmer ein großer, sichtbarer Rohrverlauf, der auf beiden Seiten nach unten und hinten schwingt.
Das Ergebnis ist ein Motorrad, dessen gesamte untere rechte Seite aufhört zu spiegeln. Gegen ein verchromtes Schutzblech und polierte Motordeckel ist das ein bewusster, ziemlich kräftiger Kontrast — näher an einem Custom-Aufbau als an einem Zubehörteil.
Keramik dort, wo es am heißesten wird
Einen Krümmer zu beschichten ist aufwendiger als einen Dämpfer. Das Rohr nahe am Kopf läuft mit der höchsten Temperatur der ganzen Anlage, und genau dort entwickelt blanker Edelstahl binnen weniger tausend Kilometer sein Strohgelb bis Blau.
Eine eingebrannte Keramikschicht läuft nicht an und hebt sich nicht ab. Das ist das praktische Argument für die Oberfläche an einer Komplettanlage — im Unterschied zum rein optischen an einem Slip-on-Paar.
Der Preis
Der Abstand zu GTR8804IOM. Sonst ändert sich nichts: dieselbe Krümmerführung, dieselben Hot-Road-Dämpfer, dieselben 5,0 kg, dieselbe Euro-4-Zulassung mit serienmäßigem Katalysator.
Für eine Behandlung, die etwa die doppelte Fläche eines Slip-on-Paares abdeckt, ist das ein maßvoller Aufschlag.
Erst die Zeile zum Hauptständer lesen
Spark gibt an, dass diese Anlage nicht mit dem Hauptständer verträglich ist — und das gilt für beide Oberflächen. Eine T120 mit Hauptständer muss ihn hergeben, und wer auf Tour geht oder die Kette in einer Garage ohne Montageständer pflegt, will das womöglich nicht.
Klären Sie das vor der Bestellung. Sparks Trumpet-Slip-ons sind die Euro-4-Alternative, die Krümmer und Ständer unangetastet lässt.
Eine beschichtete Anlage sauber halten
Warmes Wasser und milde Seife. Entfetter und Autowaschchemie machen eine Keramikoberfläche über ein paar Saisons fleckig — und an einer Komplettanlage ist das viel Fläche, die ungleichmäßig werden kann.
Einbau
Ersetzt wird alles ab Zylinderkopf, ausgenommen der Katalysator. Sparks Krümmer aus AISI 304 ist um den Serienkatalysator herum ausgelegt — das ist die Bedingung, unter der die Euro-4-Papiere ausgestellt wurden — und die beiden beschichteten Dämpfer hängen an den werkseitigen Aufnahmepunkten daran.
Vor der Bestellung eine Sache am Motorrad prüfen: Diese Anlage ist nicht mit dem Hauptständer verträglich. Eine T120, an der einer verbaut ist, kann ihn nicht behalten.
Passform & Verwendbarkeit
Triumph Bonneville T120, 2016 bis 2018. Die gebürstete Edelstahlfassung ist GTR8804IOM. Soll der Krümmer serienmäßig bleiben, baut Spark zwei zugelassene Slip-On-Paare in derselben schwarzen Ausführung: GTR0208BOM mit Trumpet-Dämpfern und GTR0209BOM mit Sinfonia-Dämpfern, beide zum selben Preis.
Straßenzulassung
Euro 4 homologiert, erteilt vom italienischen Verkehrsministerium, mit erhaltenem Originalkatalysator. Die Keramikbehandlung spielt für die Einhaltung des Grenzwerts keine Rolle.
