Sparks eigene d.54-Kits
Spark führt mehrere Artikel ausdrücklich in diesem Durchmesser: den Edelstahlkrümmer seiner Dreiviertel-Kits und die Schalldämpfergruppen, die daran anschließen. Das ist die klarste mögliche Aussage darüber, wofür vierundfünfzig gedacht ist — der Sammlerabschnitt eines Liter-Vierzylinders.
Geht es darum, eines dieser Kits anzupassen, spart es einen Adapter, denselben Durchmesser wie das Original zu bestellen.
Zusatzwerkstoff
Für AISI 304 nimmt man 308L. Es ist die Standardpaarung, es hat den niedrigen Kohlenstoffgehalt, der Chromkarbide an den Korngrenzen verhindert, und es ist der Unterschied zwischen einer Naht, die hält, und einer, die entlang der Wärmeeinflusszone rostet.
Baustahl-Zusatz in einer Edelstahlnaht versagt. Das gehört gesagt, weil es vorkommt.
Dröhnen
Ein dünnwandiges Rohr großen Durchmessers ist eine Trommel. Auf einer langen, ungestützten Strecke dieser Größe können Motorharmonische das Rohr bei bestimmten Drehzahlen zum Klingen bringen — im Auto im Innenraum hörbar, am Motorrad für den Fahrer.
Die Abhilfe ist eine Aufnahme in der Mitte der Strecke oder ein kurzes Stück der nächsten Größe über dem kritischen Abschnitt.
Lambdastutzen
Braucht die Anlage eine Lambdasonde, schweißen Sie den Stutzen vor der Endmontage ein und setzen Sie ihn mindestens drei Rohrdurchmesser hinter eine Zusammenführung. Spark verkauft den Stutzen einzeln als Artikel SGATT139.
Anreißen vor dem Schneiden
Feiner Permanentmarker und ein Papierstreifen um das Rohr gewickelt ergeben eine rechtwinklige Linie. Eine angerissene Linie auf Edelstahl ist eine Kerbwirkung und ein Kratzer, den Sie an der fertigen Anlage noch sehen — an einem sichtbaren Abschnitt eines Custom-Auspuffs zählt das.
