Die leichte Verengung
Verglichen mit dem langen rechteckigen Einsatz verengt dieser den Austritt kaum: Seine Öffnung hat mehr als die doppelte Fläche. Was er tut, ist dem Ton die schärfste Kante nehmen, ohne den Motor etwas Messbares zu kosten.
Das ist die richtige Wahl, wenn eine Maschine ohnehin nahe an einer Grenze liegt oder wenn der Besitzer den Auspuff für eine Straßenfahrt kultivieren und nicht für die Abnahme stilllegen will.
Siebzig Millimeter Gehäuse
Der andere Grund, ihn zu wählen, ist Platz. Nicht jeder rechteckige Schalldämpfer hat hundertfünfzig Millimeter geraden Abschnitt hinter dem Austritt; ein kürzerer Einsatz passt dort, wo ein langer schlicht nicht hineingeht.
Messen Sie vor der Bestellung. Es ist die eine Prüfung, die entscheidet, welchen der beiden Artikel Sie brauchen.
Zwei Einsätze, eine Familie
Sparks rechteckige Gehäuse nehmen entweder diesen oder G9915. Die Sitzmaße unterscheiden sich um weniger als einen Millimeter — 36,5 hier gegen 35,8 dort — der Außenkörper ist also nicht das Unterscheidungsmerkmal. Länge und Öffnung sind es.
Siebenundvierzig mal sechsundzwanzig
Diese Öffnung liegt nahe am vollen Querschnitt des Austritts, und das macht ihn zur leichten der beiden Verengungen. Was er entfernt, ist überwiegend die harte Kante oben und nicht das Volumen darunter.
Einbau
Vom Austritt her, Schalldämpfer bleibt montiert, Handwerkzeug. Ein rechteckiger Einsatz lässt sich nur in einer Lage einbauen — das schließt den häufigsten Weg aus, einen dB-Killer falsch einzusetzen.
Rechtliche Lage
Wo der Schalldämpfer homologiert ist, gehört der von Spark gelieferte Einsatz zur zugelassenen Konfiguration, und ihn zu tauschen bringt die Maschine außerhalb der Bescheinigung. Wo der Dämpfer ein Racing-Artikel ist, erzeugt kein Einsatz eine Zulassung. Beide Sätze lohnen vor einer Hauptuntersuchung die zweite Lektüre.
