Sechzehn Grad
Sparks GP-Style-Gehäuse ist flach angeschrägt, und der Einsatz folgt dieser Schräge. Es ist ein anderer Winkel als bei jeder anderen Spark-Familie — 18° an den alten runden Gehäusen, 34° an den neueren runden und Megaphone-Gehäusen — und die Winkel liegen nicht nahe genug beieinander, um sie zu erzwingen.

Meistens schon dabei
Spark liefert den GP-Style-Universaldämpfer mit herausnehmbarem dB-Killer im Karton. Dieser Artikel ist der Ersatz: für den, der bei einem Umbau verloren ging, den, der in der Werkzeugkiste des Vorbesitzers blieb, oder den zweiten, den ein Aufbau mit zwei Gehäusen braucht.
Das sollte man vor der Bestellung wissen. Ist Ihr Dämpfer neu und noch verpackt, liegt der Einsatz bereits darin.
Offen statt gelocht
Eine durchgehende Verengung statt einer gelochten Wand. Der GP Style ist ein langes, schlankes Gehäuse mit reichlich Innenlänge, deshalb hat Spark den einfacheren Weg gewählt: den Austritt verengen und den Rest das Gehäuse erledigen lassen.
Das Ergebnis ist weniger Strömungsverlust als bei einem gelochten Einsatz gleichen Durchlasses — und eine etwas geringere Geräuschminderung.
Siebenundvierzig Millimeter Gehäuse
Der Außenwert entscheidet, ob der Einsatz überhaupt aufsitzt. Siebenundvierzig ist das gemeinsame Maß über Sparks runde und GP-Style-Gehäuse hinweg — deshalb trennt in diesem Teil des Programms der Winkel die Artikel und nicht der Durchmesser.
Was er nicht ändert
Der GP-Style-Universaldämpfer hat keine Homologation und kann keine bekommen. Der Einsatz ist ein Werkzeug, um durch die Geräuschkontrolle einer Strecke zu kommen und ein lautes Motorrad erträglich zu machen — kein Weg zu einer Bescheinigung.
