Ein seltener Bedarf
An einem Motorrad braucht fast nichts eine 45-Grad-Wende bei sechsundsiebzig Millimetern. Kommt es doch vor, ist es eine Kammer oder eine Box, die um ein tragendes Bauteil herum die Richtung wechseln muss, und es gibt keinen kleineren Weg dorthin.

Die segmentierte Alternative
Ein Segmentbogen — Keile aus einem geraden Rohr geschnitten und wieder zusammengeschweißt — erzeugt jeden Winkel in jedem Durchmesser. Er erzeugt außerdem eine facettierte Bohrung, die sechsfache Nahtlänge, mehr Gewicht und weniger Gleichmäßigkeit als ein geformtes Teil.

Schwenk, nicht Winkel
In diesem Durchmesser zählt der Bogen mehr als die Zahl. Ein 45°-Bogen in 76-mm-Rohr nimmt weit mehr Raum ein, als die Angabe vermuten lässt, und an einem Motorrad teilt er sich diesen Raum meist mit dem Hinterrad. Zeichnen Sie ihn vor der Bestellung.
Gleichmäßige Bohrung
Der Sinn eines Dorns in dieser Größe ist, dass die Bohrung rundum gleich bleibt. In einer Kammer oder Box geht es dabei nicht um Strömung, sondern darum, dass Innenteile passen: Ein Lochrohr lässt sich durch einen geformten Bogen schieben, durch einen segmentierten nicht.
Zwei Hände
Groß, im Verhältnis zum Durchmesser dünn, und von einem heruntergefallenen Schlüssel dauerhaft gezeichnet. Werkbank vorher freiräumen und nichts anderes darauflegen, solange das Teil dort liegt.
Rechtwinklig schneiden
Ein halbes Grad Fehler über sechsundsiebzig Millimeter sind mehr als ein halber Millimeter Spalt auf der Gegenseite. Bandsäge mit Prismenauflage und Papierschablone schlagen Winkelschleifer und ruhige Hand in dieser Größe deutlich.
